Off the meds, still good!

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Maintaining off the medication is the harder question most people skip when they start. The appetite modulation leaves and the habits you built carry the load. Still doing well while thinking about this is exactly the right place to be.

Building the habits before stopping is what separates maintenance from rebound - the medication removes friction while the pattern cements, and when you stop the pattern is already load-bearing. The prioritizing-yourself framing survives the medication ending; that's the durable part.

Stress events and cycle timing together are one of the harder combinations to hold good habits through - that both hit at once and food choices stayed on track says something real. Maintaining off injections depends a lot on whether the behavioral rewire held, and that reads like it did.

Maintaining after stopping is the test no one talks about enough before starting - the work you put into habits during the active phase is what makes the difference at month 3 off.

400 lbs lost over however long that took is in a completely different category from most results discussed here. The 30 inch jeans after starting at what must have been 50+ inches is such a concrete marker. Maintaining off the meds is the part that's genuinely hard to predict - what's the current approach to keeping the behavioral habits in place?

The laziness and exercise motivation dip at the early dose stage is worth monitoring separately from the weight loss question. Some people find this is dose-timing dependent rather than a permanent effect - the fatigue tends to be highest around injection day and improves through the week. Is the energy dip worst on a specific day relative to when you dose?

Congrats! Mine took me off them about a month back too. Was already down roughly 45 pounds by then, and my blood pressure readings have stayed healthy without needing anything for it. First time in six years going without, genuinely such a good feeling. Really hoping your experience turns out equally easy.

Ended up needing a full month off Mounjaro thanks to two cataract procedures scheduled close together. Totally relate to those aches and the hunger roaring back with a vengeance, on top of blood sugar getting harder to manage too. Was already anxious since my progress had slowed to almost nothing right before this happened. Genuinely counting down until I'm back on it this Sunday. My doctor made it clear early on this was meant to be a permanent thing. Wishing you well with your own journey.

Officially a day and a half off the medication now.
Starting to genuinely feel better today. About to knock this bug out completely! Also noticing the effect of stopping the medication, though not in a great way just yet.
Almost two weeks off tirzepatide so far and appetite hasn't hit hard yet. The moment hunger slams into me, I'll be jumping right back on it.
Genuinely think I might manage to phase off some of this medication permanently.
