First off, this medication doesn't directly cause weight loss on its own. Doesn't matter the amount. What it actually does is quiet food noise and suppress appetite. Those tools make the process a lot more manageable. What actually gets done with those tools is what drives the results.
First things first, cutting carbs or eliminating any food group isn't necessary, or even advisable. What actually matters is tracking calories. A drastic deficit isn't needed either. In fact, not eating enough can push the body into a starvation-type response and stall progress entirely.
Still early days here. Usually takes a few weeks before the body genuinely starts burning fat. Water weight and inflammation tend to drop first. Don't expect miracles, or perfectly consistent numbers on the scale either. Focus on nutrition quality, adequate intake, and strength training, which can stall the scale early on too. Not a huge believer in heavy cardio, fine to do if desired, but strength training is where the real effort should go.
Three months in at a moderate amount here, lifting three times weekly, eating plenty! Calories get tracked but food quality stays high. At least a solid protein target daily, decent fiber too.
