Crazy to stack GLP-1s with Metformin?

Hong Kong Yanpep International
That's fantastic! I was specifically asking about running two of the main compounds together rather than pairing one with an amylin-based option like you mentioned. Plenty of people combine an amylin compound with the main drug class, and that's well documented, just curious specifically about stacking two of the main compounds together. Nice work again, seriously.

Metformin lowers glucose and A1C, but usually does little for weight loss. Stomach issues are reported on it, generally milder than on semaglutide. Frankly, if losing weight is the aim, semaglutide or tirzepatide by themselves beat it, and metformin only serves glucose control, which you do not seem to need. The muscle worry with GLP1 is exaggerated if you eat decently (read: protein) and stay somewhat active. Part of the apparent muscle reduction is less fat inside the muscle, so it loses volume. CT measurements verified this. In studies, a big share of lean mass loss comes from the liver and other organs inside, which shrink as inflammation and fat storage fall.

Lilly has trials combining a new drug with Mounjaro for people whose loss has stalled. I looked into doing something along those lines myself, but nothing comparable is out there. I find Metformin pretty useless, so I'd skip it, and I'd skip a second GLP1 as well. Shortening the gap between MJ shots would make more sense before any of that.
