Three months in and plateaued at 7.5mg - is this normal?

Hong Kong Yanpep International
three months in on tirz and i feel stuck, wondering if anyone else went through this. my first pen was 2.5 mg and i weighed 195 lbs. first month was rough, bad nausea, appetite dropped hard and the food noise vanished completely. leg cramps too, but more water, electrolytes and protein fixed most of that. ive been logging meals, keeping protein up, eating lots of veggies, and i cant stand anything fried anymore. regular workouts arent possible with my other health stuff, but im moving more.

month two the doctor raised the dose to 5 mg, at which point i was 187 by then and lost nothing on it, mostly just tired and constipated, which miralax helped. then 7.5 mg. just finished my third pen. side effects are almost gone now but the scale barely moves. im around 181, bouncing between 181 and 186 with water and bathroom stuff. bloating is down and ive lost some inches, but it doesnt feel like a big change. doctor wants another month at 7.5 before going up. is this normal?

Three months is early for a verdict. If you swing between 181 and 186 from water and bathroom stuff, the scale probably hasn't caught up with what the drug is doing, and inches coming off while the number sits still is a good sign. I'd measure waist and hips every couple of weeks and judge by that.

I stalled around the same point, also at 7.5. A higher dose wasn't what fixed it. When I weighed my food for a week I found my protein had slid and I was grazing on small snacks all day. Might be worth checking that before you decide the drug is the problem.

Everyone's different. Some feel mounjaro immediately, others need a higher dose. At 2.5 mine already cut my appetite, silenced food noise, and reduced my desire for alcohol. My doctor and I chose to go to 5 after a month, though staying at the lowest dose works for some. Your reason for taking it and your body's response decide it.
