Mood swings better on Ozempic?

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Huh, interesting, noticed something similar myself but was chalking it up to switching birth control or the antidepressant I'd started a month or two before beginning this. Curious what others think.

Ozempic seems to have eased my ADHD symptoms a bit, though I'm diabetic. My guess is the high blood sugar was making the ADHD worse, and now Ozempic keeps my sugar steady.

Since ozempic slows gut motility, I wonder if that changes how you absorb the medication? I'm on an antidepressant along with a mood stabilizer and I'm doing okay, had an episode recently but a higher dose seems to help.

sage_month6 I'm in perimenopause too. About 3 weeks into Ozempic, on 0.25mg, the brain fog was simply gone. One morning I noticed I felt truly present, something missing for years: alert, aware, tuned in, and concentrating for long stretches. Mentally I was back to being myself. Physical energy improved as well, I actually feel like exercising and enjoy it, which I haven't felt in 3 years.

I get that same reaction on days 1 and 2 after my shot, feeling very depressed. Maybe ozempic wiping out good gut bacteria affects our mental health? No studies come to mind, yet exploring that link sounds worthwhile.

Same here. Had a brutal reaction once I got up to a decent dose on Ozempic, and after that I lost any interest in pushing it further, definitely didn't want to feel that sick again. One side effect I actually love though is just feeling content, like my cortisol dropped and everything got way calmer.
