Finally normal labs!

The follow-up panels are often the most useful ones - the standard metabolic panel misses things like inflammatory markers and vitamin levels that shift on GLP-1s. Worth getting a full picture while you're at it.

The basic panel recommendation is the right starting point before adding more specialized markers - FBE, metabolic panel, and hs-CRP gives you the inflammation and organ function baseline that everything else layers on top of. The comprehensive list gets expensive fast; knowing what you're actually monitoring for and sequencing the more specialized labs based on that is more useful than ordering everything at once.

The combination of lifting, protein, and CJC/Ipa/Tesa makes it genuinely hard to isolate what each one is doing. The body recomping while on a GLP-1 is a result a lot of people are chasing and you may have found the stack that works even without knowing which piece is doing the most. A1C from 10.5 to manageable is the headline win here though.

Genuinely great experience for me, dropped 60 pounds, brought down both A1C and cholesterol, and never had a single side effect.

Hey, me again! My glaucoma pressures came back normal for the first time in decades. Doctor thinks mj is behind it since I haven't dropped a huge amount of weight. Really hoping this holds, the health upside alone would be life changing.

Bloodwork has improved dramatically, sorry to disappoint anyone hoping otherwise. Only downside has been my pulse climbing 12 to 15 beats per minute. Settled back down some since, though still running above my usual baseline.

Nice work on that A1c drop, real progress there. Since you're already reworking your diet, don't forget fiber and magnesium too. No need to be nervous about a cholesterol medication, it fits fine alongside lifestyle changes.
A particular blood pressure supplement gets mentioned a lot in similar combinations.

Same here, raising my hand too. Was taking 2000mg daily for three years, cut it to 1000mg now, and on 10mg of the second compound I'm down 135 lbs with my A1c dropping from 11 to 5.1.

Used to take five different components across four pills daily, two morning, two evening, just to keep blood pressure under roughly 140-150 over 100-110.
Now I'm down to a single component in the morning and readings sit around 123/78, holding steady.
All within two months.
Still can hardly believe it!
Not sure if it's the weight drop, about 15kg, eating cleaner (no added sugar, salt, or refined flour), or the medication itself doing the work.

Your expectations shape how it feels. MJ and I started in September 2024, so I'm close to two years in. Did I lose weight? Yes, roughly 100 pounds. Did my A1C improve? It fell from 11.4 to 4.8 across that first year. Was it as quick as I wanted? No, but you learn fast that comparing yourself to others is pointless. Nothing moved for me before the 7.5 dose, no big deal. I am also stuck 10 pounds from a healthy BMI, fine too. I eat lower carb and lower calorie with more protein and fiber, keep sugar low and drink tons of water. The scale has sat still for 10 months, yet my shape keeps shifting, nearly 2 dress sizes smaller. I exercise every day, around 14-16 hours weekly covering HIIT, barre, power lifting and yoga, plus a lunch walk when it isn't scorching. None of it shows on the scale.

Which dose are you at? 3 years on MJ for me. I was at 12.5 up to three weeks back, then digestive issues pushed me down to 7.5. Fatigue and anhedonia showed up as well, and both faded after the drop. My next checkup, the 6 month one, is coming up soon, so i dont know yet whether my A1c moved. Im diabetic.

Same, I'm type 2 too, and my A1c was decent, sitting between 6.0 and 6.8. Four months in, my insulin need is way lower, roughly 15ml a day on average, and A1c reads 5.8. I also lost around 35 pounds, and my pants and shirts are two sizes smaller.
