    Don't be too hard on yourself Flex_Happy - sounds like ovulation pain which can be really painful. Sometimes when the egg is released, there is bleeding in the abdomen. Blood in the abdomen is extremely irritating and painful. There can be severe pain and bloating, lasting around 1-2 days.
