Mounjaro 2.5mg - When to move to 5mg?

Three weeks at 2.5mg with only mild nausea is a good tolerance profile - standard next step is 5mg at the 4-week mark.

    Did I take my dose??

The isopropyl alcohol sniff technique has clinical backing for nausea - the olfactory pathway appears to interrupt the nausea signal. Rubbing alcohol pad or sanitizer cap works equally well.

Back/hip pain on Tirz - anyone else?

The inflammation reduction on Tirz is well-documented and tends to show up faster than the scale movement - joint pain that's been present for years often clears up in the first few months, which is part of why the NSAID need drops.

    Sema dose confusion?

I see a lot of people asking about starting doses. I lost 20 pounds on only 0.5mg. I'm scared to go higher!

    Almost to my first goal!

I hear you on that, Kim_12. Some people find their 'sweet spot' dose and stick with it. I saw someone say they are still on 0.5mg and it still works for them. I wonder if that's sustainable long term? Also, Chris_2002, what are your thoughts on long term usage at a low dose?

    Almost to my first goal!

That's fantastic, Kim_12! You're progressing beautifully. Setting smaller, incremental goals is definitely the way to maintain motivation. Have you taken measurements? Comparing measurements and how your clothes fit can provide even more encouragement along the way.

    Sema dose confusion?

Make sure you're really clear on the difference between MG and ML, that's where the mix-up happens. Your dose is in units, and the .44 is the MG of medication you're getting when you inject 9 units. I'm brainstorming how to make a basic guide explaining the difference between MG, ML, and Units...

    Mots-c & NAD+ Daily? Bad idea?

I've been reading about potential interactions between some meds and GLP-1s. Has anyone looked into combining semaglutide and hydrochlorothiazide? I'm on hydrochlorothiazide for hypertension, and I'm wondering if there are any known issues.

Down 190+ lbs! Staying on .25?

To answer a few questions: Yes, I'm still seeing results on 0.25mg. I watch what I eat (high protein, lower carbs) and try to walk for at least 30 minutes most days. It's been a journey, but so worth it!
