    Restarting GLP-1 after surgery?

Two missed doses at 10mg takes about 2 weeks to re-establish full suppression - the craving return before surgery is expected. Most surgical teams recommend 4-6 weeks post-op before restarting to avoid gastric emptying effects interfering with wound recovery. A1c at 5.1 gives you margin to be...

Went back down on my dose!?

Receptor desensitization is real - some people get better results stepping back to where suppression was strong rather than continuing to escalate. The bounce pattern since January suggests the 7.5mg level was the saturation point.

Sema working even with a good diet?

Sema works through appetite suppression and satiety signaling, not just correcting for a poor diet. People with already-healthy diets see weight loss on it because the mechanism acts directly on intake regulation and gastric emptying. The injectable debate is separate from this efficacy question.

    New to GLP-1s! Feeling optimistic!

Does anyone know how to get semaglutide affordably without insurance? I'm so worried about scams. I saw an online ad for a company with an all-inclusive plan: medication, shipping, and a virtual consult for $180/month, no hidden fees. Then I got a pop-up from someone claiming to be from the same...

    New to GLP-1s! Feeling optimistic!

Remember to prioritize protein in your diet. Also, incorporate regular walks and strength training. If you do those things you should minimize muscle loss.

    Reta kinda working? Still unsure...

If you're hungry, eat something. If it's not just boredom, don't ignore your body. Just make sure you eat healthy foods. I usually grill a steak or chicken and don't even finish it all. Then I keep the rest to snack on later when I'm a bit hungry.

Same with Reta. My first vial lasted almost 3 months and was still good.

    Finally feeling normal around food!

I have PCOS too, and I gained weight super fast even though my diet and activity levels stayed the same. I also have some food sensitivities so my diet is pretty low carb already. I had a very physical job where I walked a ton and climbed stairs all day. Doctors brushed me off for years, happily...

Hit my goal weight - now what?!

Great job! I'm happy for you. I have a question. I started semaglutide and now I crave pretzels and crackers. Isn't that strange? I normally eat clean foods. Has anyone else experienced this?
