    Ozempic hookup overseas?

I took a vacation in July to Egypt coming from the States, and I noticed the meds were available at a couple of pharmacies. I knew a pharmacist who told me they were about $110 each, so I bought about a year's supply (1mg). Plus, my sis-in-law from Sweden gave me 2 for free, too! Around $1300...

    Brunch Sabotage: Meds edition

It's so stupid how people judge what others eat. Everyone should mind their own business and not comment on other people’s food.

    Down 90 lbs...celebrating!

Sure thing! I started at 220 and am now around 130, so a 90 lb total loss. Started on the lowest dose and gradually increased until I felt the appetite suppression. Now I'm on a super low maintenance dose.

    Down 90 lbs...celebrating!

Hit a milestone! Lost about 45 pounds in the first half-year, then another 45 over the next couple of years. To celebrate, I held a pair of 45-pound plates at the gym during my workout with my husband. I've been maintaining around 145 for a year now, just taking a low dose every couple of weeks...

    Pants falling down! Woot!

I went through my closet last week and got rid of like, five bags of clothes that were too big. It felt SO good! I'm donating them to a local shelter.

    Plateau at 7.5mg... now what?

Alka Seltzer and alkaline water are my favorites. My heartburn comes from coffee, bending over, and sleeping flat. I switched to a low-acid coffee. And I sleep in a recliner if it's really bad. Before starting tirz, I used TUMS for a bit, but not too much.

    Plateau at 7.5mg... now what?

Heartburn advice when using this stuff: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC9428923/ Eat smaller meals more often, avoid coffee, tea, spices, cola, fried foods, tomato, mint, chocolate, alcohol, soda, and don't lie down after eating. Try a PPI. Reflux is common in obesity. GLP-1s can...

    Plateau at 7.5mg... now what?

There's also the idea that "less is more." I don't agree with that (for me) since GLP-1s help us in dose-dependent ways, not just with weight loss. My doctor doses patients with a 2.5 mg increase per week as needed. So I went to 10 mg at week four. I'm staying there now but will go up if...

    Plateau at 7.5mg... now what?

I understand what you mean. Even smaller stalls like that can make you think it's not working (even though some would say a true stall is more like 12 weeks of nothing). The next step should be to try 10mg if 7.5 isn't doing the trick. I was dealing with the same thing at 7.5, and increasing to...
