GLP-1 Slow Start - Anyone Else?

Slow start at .25mg is normal and not a sign the medication is not working. The plateau at the starter dose is real but expected. The misinformation about what counts as normal makes it harder to read your own experience. Community-based data beats social media clips.

    Done already?

160 pounds and the pose that comes with it. That confidence is the part that does not show on the scale.

    Mood swings on Reta?

I wouldn't be so quick to blame the Reta, especially since you've only been on it a short time and the timing might just be a coincidence. But I know higher doses of Tirz can cause a loss of pleasure in some, so it's not impossible that Reta is the culprit. Were you experiencing other side...

Have you used any similar meds before, like other GLP-1 receptor agonists?

    Insurance coverage for GLP-1s explained

I am on Medicaid in my state and we HAD coverage for a while. Then too many people started using it and the state tightened criteria fast. Now you basically need diabetes plus multiple other issues. It is frustrating because like you said, we are going to pay for heart attacks and dialysis...

    Reta sides at tiny dose?

Perhaps there was a miscalculation of the dose? Reta gives me no side effects. Did you get it from a ‘trusted’ source?

I focus on lean protein like chicken breast, fish, and Greek yogurt. I also use protein powder in my smoothies. And I try to measure portions. It's all a journey!
