    Sticking with the .25 dose?

My journey started similarly, and I also have PCOS! I lost most of my weight on .25. I still only take .25 for two weeks and then increase to .5 for two weeks each month (helps with hormonal cravings). I’ve dropped 35lbs and want to lose about 5 more. I’ve never had side effects.

    Sticking with the .25 dose?

I've been on .25 for about seven months and have lost approximately 45 pounds, which I'm happy with considering my age. I tried the .5 dose for a few weeks as prescribed but it made me feel terrible, so I went back to .25. I plan to stay on it. Besides the weight loss, Ozempic has really helped...

    Reta kicking hypertension's butt!

Recent research has shown a U-shaped curve for mortality related to IGF-1. Optimal levels seem to fall in a pretty narrow range, around 150 ng/mL.

I agree with T2D_Survivor_Mark, it's incredible what these meds can do, especially when combined with lifestyle changes. As a healthcare professional, I've seen firsthand the positive impact on patients with Type 2 diabetes and weight management. Keep up the great work, everyone!

    GLP-1: Fridge or nah?

Look into a temp alarm! I have one on my big freezer, and it warns me if the temp is off. Gives me peace of mind.

    GLP-1: Fridge or nah?

I saw this online: Some compounded versions of semaglutide/tirzepatide are stable for 3-4 weeks at room temp (under 85F) *after* mixing. So some people don't refrigerate at all after mixing. Hope this helps! You may get even better advice from other people here.

Awesome job! I started around 225 and I'm down to 190 as of today. Tomorrow's my 13th injection. Still hoping to lose another 20-25 pounds – my goal is to be around 165-170.

GLP meds - are they a forever thing?

Exactly It's like blood pressure medication. You don't stop taking it just because your blood pressure is under control, right?

GLP meds - are they a forever thing?

I've always viewed GLP-1s as a treatment, not a cure. I plan to stay on some version of them for life. That might explain my irrational desire to hoard multiple years' worth. I'm never stopping. I'm never going back. I just can't.

    Finally preggo after Ozempic!

Weight loss can release stored estrogens, which might reduce the hot flashes temporarily. Have you thought about HRT or supplements/foods to boost estrogen?

GLP meds - are they a forever thing?

My main takeaway is that the brand-name prices aren't sustainable long-term for most people. Compounding pharmacies are the solution. I'm probably going to stay on these forever, and I'm okay with that.

    Finally preggo after Ozempic!

Congratulations! I'd advise looking into myo-inositol and/or metformin with your doctor during pregnancy. Like GLP-1s, they can improve insulin sensitivity, which is great for PCOS. There's research suggesting metformin might even lower miscarriage risk in PCOS patients...
