I think this is mistaken. Some compounding pharmacies use BAC water. Plain sterile water does not stop bacteria as well. Benzyl alcohol helps with that.

Good tip, gonna check that out. Insurance pens at 25 dollars monthly are hard to step away from. Collecting and reusing isn't bad though, worth looking into.

The more I think about it, that idea is probably BS. A seller that is less known isn't going to make nearly as much money as the ones that are already popular, even if they have a better product. The idea that some company is doing this just to be 'kind' is unlikely.
