    Mystery GLP-1s: Am I nuts?

Welcome, Doc! I started on compounded sema around a year and a half ago. It worked really well for the first couple of months, then... nothing. No appetite suppression, no weight loss, just $500 a month down the drain for half a year. I was talking with a friend about how I wanted to try...

    Doc wants me on Ozempic?!

That's good to know! Definitely check your A1C, HawkLog174. It might make a difference even if you don't feel 'diabetic'.

    Sema 1 month in!

That's awesome! I highly recommend using a food tracking app to monitor your progress. Seeing the weight loss trend on a graph really keeps me motivated.

    Doc wants me on Ozempic?!

I agree with the recs above/below me. If you're dedicated, the decrease in food costs will cover a lot of the cost. My food budget went from around $25 a day (eating out twice a day) to around $300 a month. There are programs for lower costs, and there are also compounding pharmacies. Ozempic...

    Canada customs experiences?

I've read about some people trying to get prescriptions from their doctors in the US and then having it shipped internationally. Has anyone here done that successfully? I have dual citizenship and my doc here is willing to write a script, but I'd need to get it shipped overseas.

    Mystery GLP-1s: Am I nuts?

It still surprises me how many of us 'normal' people are doing this, lol. I thought it was just for the gym rats! How long have you been using Reta? Is it something you and other medical folks talk about openly?

    Doc wants me on Ozempic?!

Your doctor may need to complete some authorization paperwork. They might want you to use Wegovy instead (which is basically the same, but approved for weight loss). Same with Mounjaro/Zepbound. Do you have type 2 diabetes? Being obese makes you more likely to develop it. If you do, it might be...

    Canada customs experiences?

I'm on the West Coast too. I have placed over a dozen orders over the last couple years and only had one held by customs. Usually, it takes 3-5 weeks.

    Cheap GLP-1 but good?

Started this journey three years ago when I was genuinely struggling with health and basic tasks like shopping. Down 78 kilos now and the difference in living in my body is incredible. I'm committed to maintaining this. Keeping the weight off takes real effort, but these meds make it way more...

    Obesity Types: GLP-1s a fix?

I weigh myself every day but only record it once a week. I find that daily weighing can become obsessive and isn't always the most accurate picture of progress due to water retention, etc. I only log my weight once a week to see trends.

FOXO4 DRI vs Mots-C: Which first?

I was just reading about peptides for immune support. There's a PDF floating around with good info on Thymosin Alpha 1. Apparently, it helps your body recognize viruses, and some people have had success with it easing food allergies. I might keep that one in mind in case of future illnesses.

    Done with Mounjaro... for now!

I agree with ToneLean about not panicking if you gain a little back. It can be discouraging, but it doesn't necessarily mean you're failing. Just keep focusing on those healthy habits you've built!

    You look incredible!

FOXO4 DRI vs Mots-C: Which first?

I'm wrapping up the 15-week protocol with NAD+, SS31, and mots-c. My brain definitely seems sharper now and I rarely need an afternoon rest. I didn't notice any crazy changes while actually ON the protocol, but I feel I am able to accomplish about the same now as I did 15 years ago in a day. I'm...

    Done with Mounjaro... for now!

Don't panic if the scale goes up a bit. It could just mean that overeating wasn't the only issue. The meds affect more than just appetite. If overeating WAS the root cause, you can definitely manage it with diet and exercise. Best of luck!

    UK weight loss drug bust...scary?

when you're carrying extra weight, stretchy clothes hide the progress. i've lost 50 and only now switching to tighter leggings. new clothes in smaller sizes = your mirror finally shows the real change.

    Oral Wegovy Approved!

I saw someone post about their first month on the Rybelsus. They dropped 5 lbs, mainly from some gastro issues. They said it was working, though!

    Oral Wegovy Approved!

How many times have we heard that losing weight isn't as easy as taking a pill? A LOT of people would pay for that if they could.

Hang in there, it gets better!

I'm curious for those of you who have been on longer term... What dose are you finding works best for you? I'm on 1mg and not seeing much action lately. Is 2mg really a lot?
