    Cagrilintide - am I immune?!

My steps were 2mg, 4, 5, 6, then 8mg, each a week apart. I plan to stay at 8mg and inject every 5 days, adding Cagri. I was on Tirze before that.

MJ was NOT my miracle drug!

Mine stalled out after a year and five months, maxed at 2mg. Put back on 15 pounds. Recently switched over to Mounjaro at 10mg, and so far it's delivering again.

Is obesity a societal problem, or what?

Extremely likely that's actually the case here. Would genuinely recommend digging deeper into the science behind obesity rather than putting the entire blame on personal willpower.

    Ozempic and later pregnancy

Been on a certain ozempic amount and stopped around when pregnancy began, so not quite the recommended two months off beforehand. Curious whether anyone who used ozempic prior to pregnancy also dealt with prolonged nausea afterward. Currently mid-pregnancy and still getting hit hard whenever...

    Protein on GLP-1s?! Help!

Okay, solid advice. Pretty sure I'm falling short on protein. Gonna start tracking it going forward. Any tips for getting more in there?

    Still hungry on week 2?

Ah, really hoping this one works out for me too, hunger's been hitting me hard a few days into each weekly dose.

    Titration Troubles & Tolerance?

My provider's always pushing the lowest dose that still gets results. Bumping up every 4 weeks is the typical schedule, but if side effects show up or the weight's still coming off, there's no rush to increase on schedule. Can always go up slower too. Best to just listen to your own body.

Switching injection sites - worth it?

Even using a syringe, going into muscle absorbs faster and can ramp up side effects, right? Saw a whole conversation about this among some bodybuilding folks. Some of the techniques people use for ozempic are honestly wild.

    Scale Victory!

Week 3/4 sudden 2kg overnight drop is the water release that everyone hopes comes back. The OP's 142-144 bounce without stressing is the mature version of weight loss management. Scale not moving over a week at that weight range is normal - the body is holding tight to those last few pounds...

Tirz vs Sema for mental health?

The motivation and drive drop alongside the appetite suppression is a real pattern - the reward circuit changes that quiet food cravings also affect other kinds of drive for some people. Staying on low doses while weight loss continues is reasonable; worth tracking whether the effect stays flat...

Down 8lb first month - YAY!

8 lbs in month 1 is a solid first result - the second month plateau is common enough that it has a name in these communities. the meal question is the right instinct; appetite suppression on semaglutide can lead to eating too little to support the metabolic rate, which paradoxically slows loss...

    Halfway to goal!

27 down since starting Reta at week 13 and already past the first goal is a great trajectory. The current pace at 148 suggests you've still got momentum - when did the big drops happen, early weeks or more recently?

    Anyone else feeling... different?

The emotional side coming up alongside the appetite change is something therapy can actually help with in ways the medication can't. Food troubles from childhood showing up again when the medication starts doing its job is so consistent - the suppression quiets the food noise but doesn't touch...

    Face Gains!

3rd dose and already dialing in the timing to reduce sides is the right approach. Bedtime dosing cutting things down is a pattern a lot of people find. The sleep disruption the second night is something that usually settles as the dose builds up in the system. Face changes tend to show up before...

    Down 60lbs on GLP-1!

TRT plus tirz as a game changer for the metabolically compromised version of the problem is a real combination - the testosterone side addresses the hormonal resistance that makes GLP-1s less effective on their own for a lot of men. The OP's journey from 275 to 215 since May 2023 with the dose...

    One year on GLP-1s!

Starting at 393 with AFib, Gout, CKD, and venous insufficiency and still losing 70 lbs in a year is a remarkable result given the complexity. The one year milestone looks different for everyone and that one is a serious success story. How have the associated conditions responded alongside the...

    RHR elevated on Reta?

Titrating from 2mg up to 10mg by January and then coming back down to 5mg is useful context for the RHR question. The OP's elevated RHR at a consistent dose is worth tracking against where they started - RHR often rises slightly at higher doses and tends to normalize when the dose backs down...

    Scared to start Ozempic!

2.5 years in and the only real nausea problems at 1.0mg is actually reassuring for someone starting out. The dose adjustment conversation with the doctor is the right move when it gets that rough. Starting at the lower doses gives you a chance to see how you respond before getting to that level.

    Ozempic changed my life!

486 down to 203 over two years with a type 2 diabetes diagnosis as the starting point is an incredible result. That kind of transformation changes the medical picture entirely. Congratulations on two years of that.

    Down almost 100lbs!

2.5 years for 65 lbs is the slow and steady version that tends to hold. 95 lbs with still changes every week is the fast version at a different scale. Both end up at the same place eventually - you're clearly still moving.
