Skin, Hair & GLP-1 Reality Check

My doc wrote a script for it but I'm bipolar and really sensitive to meds. I'm worried about emotional blunting or depression. How common is that side effect actually? I'd like to hear from people who experienced it and people who didn't.

    Ozempic + bad food = 💥?

I guess it's like that saying, 'play stupid games, win stupid prizes'! I knew better, and I paid for it. FastingGains thanks for the tips! I will definitely be more careful.

    Ozempic + bad food = 💥?

Okay, fair points. Fried foods, alcohol, dairy...you're right. It was definitely what I ate. These foods take longer to digest. These were all triggering foods, and I know better. I was just hoping it wasn't the Ozempic making it worse! Lesson learned. Avoid heavy and fried foods!

Brain still wants pie on Tirz?

I plateaued on Sema after dropping some weight initially. It's good to know it happens to other people! That's why I feel less guilty using it, since I had a lot to lose for my health.

    Ozempic + bad food = 💥?

Has anyone else had a really hard time after eating certain foods? Last night I had a beer, some cornbread casserole, some pasta salad, fried shrimp, and candied yams... I had terrible burping and gas and woke up at 4 AM needing to RUN to the bathroom with gas and diarrhea. It was like, way...

Brain still wants pie on Tirz?

Without knowing much about you, here's my take. I lost weight by stopping extreme hunger and rebound hunger by limiting my food choices. I avoided anything that could spike blood sugar or dopamine, causing extreme hunger. If your issues are like binge eating or food addiction, this is...

Weight loss without exercise on GLP-1's?

I didn't add exercise at all for a long time and didn't lose any weight. It's been 10 months now. I'm on a starting dose. At first I did lose like 20 pounds with dieting and very light activity like walking a few miles a day, but I went back to making bad food choices and wasn't active anymore...

    Anyone still rockin' PayPal?

Do any of these vendors have warehouses inside the US?

Brain still wants pie on Tirz?

You're fighting the mental game while the meds do their thing. That's not weird, that's STRONG. Most people would give in, but you're hanging in there! I love those sugar-free lollipops! Anyone got tips on avoiding those?

    Anyone still rockin' PayPal?

Never heard of them, it was just a copy/paste. Didn’t want it to look like I was recommending them. Thanks for the heads up, though.

Weight loss without exercise on GLP-1's?

If you get late night cravings, try some feta cheese, deli chicken, or a hard-boiled egg. They're full of protein. Also, you might need a higher dose of Ozempic. I started on 0.25 and felt nothing. On 0.5, the food noise went down a little, and I lost about 3 pounds. Now I'm on 1 for a month...

    Anyone still rockin' PayPal?

Places ditch PP when PP gets suspicious and freezes their funds. More of a headache than it's worth, especially if it's a personal account. Crypto's not that hard to learn. I'd avoid BTC for buying stuff and go with stablecoins.

    Anyone still rockin' PayPal?

Some of the newer companies that are part of the big consortium here might. I'd recommend searching the forum for "PayPal" and seeing what pops up. Don't forget to check the market area for vendors.

    Is it just me, or...

Amazing work! You look fantastic. I've lost around 80lbs, and I have maybe 20 more to go. People keep telling me to stop now or that I've lost enough, but I still feel overweight, according to guidelines.

    GLP-1s: Overeating vs. "Food Noise"

Drugs affect dopamine pathways tied to food urges and the noisy thoughts around eating. Appears to influence alcohol disorders too. Tirzepatide might help that.

Switching from Sema to Reta...any advice?

I saw a post about someone who lost 117lbs in about a year and a half! They started on Ozempic but switched to Mounjaro because of gastroparesis. They also eat a ton of protein, are super active, and lift weights. So inspiring!

Switching from Sema to Reta...any advice?

Totally fair enough, Patti_Real. I have some BED issues myself, nowhere NEAR as destructive as it was when I was younger, but it's still a struggle. I did a high dose of tirz, and also have some Survo to use if needed. The tirz is working out great for me. I haven't had any compulsive eating...

    Hit 50 lbs lost! 🎉

I saw someone mention hair and muscle loss from rapid weight loss. That's a great point, I'm going to try to add some protein shakes and maybe some vitamins to my diet.

Switching from Sema to Reta...any advice?

I'm curious as to why you are switching to reta instead of trying tirz first? No judgement, but I thought of it as sema-tirz-reta representing small, medium, and large doses. What factors made you pick reta?
