That's likely due to body recomposition – you're losing fat and gaining muscle. Muscle is denser than fat, so you can lose inches without seeing a big change on the scale. NSV!
That's really impressive. If I shed about 140 pounds (or 160 from my highest weight), I'd be in the normal BMI range and at the same weight I was briefly when I was 17. It's encouraging to see others achieving similar goals.
It's great that the original poster could stop without regaining! I wonder how common that is. I am also a little concerned about muscle loss, especially for older adults. That's a huge factor that doesn't get talked about enough!
