    Two years on GLP-1s! 🎉

Two-year constipation on GLP-1 that never resolved is worth addressing - fiber, magnesium citrate, and stool softeners are the standard stack; without intervention it tends to stay.

    Ozempic and energy levels?

Energy rollercoaster on these meds often tracks with undereating - the appetite suppression makes it easy to drop below what the body needs to fuel consistent activity.

    Cheap GLP-1s soon?

The $50 Medicare/Medicaid deal has stipulations that narrow who actually qualifies - the gap for people who don't qualify hasn't changed. The patent cliff is the real price mechanism; the political announcements are claiming credit for what market competition was already set to deliver.

Oops! Messed up my 4mg dose 🤦‍♀️

You'll definitely feel it tomorrow. I accidentally gave myself a double dose when I took my injection earlier than normal one week. It was a day of feeling pretty bad. Just stay close to home and be ready; it might be a rough few days.

    GLP-1 quitters: why?

Cost is #1! I'm paying $200/month, which isn't a long-term option. Everyone I know pays out of pocket; the insurance company won't cover it, even for a BMI over 40. I'm wary of the online pharmacies. Some of them look sketchy (not much info, just credit card fields), while others are...

    AS Help: Any Pep Recs?

Just a note of caution regarding online peptide vendors. Not all are created equal. Some products may not be what they claim to be. Look for vacuum-sealed vials that dissolve easily in bacteriostatic water as indicators of quality.

    GLP-1 quitters: why?

When these meds first became popular for losing weight, they estimated about a quarter of potential users wouldn't try them because they're injectables. Lots of people don't want to inject themselves. I'm lucky because I don't experience any major side effects with sema, but some people have a...

Switching from Sema to Reta - advice?

During my first week of switching from Tirz to Reta, I did 7mg over 6 injections. 36mg in my first month over 15 injections. No bad reactions to report.

    AS Help: Any Pep Recs?

The biologics used for autoimmune issues can cause some pretty serious side effects, like weakening your immune system and making you more prone to infections. Using them without a doctor's supervision seems risky, and could potentially be fatal. I don't think you'll find them at the usual...

Switching from Sema to Reta - advice?

I would go with 1mg daily, adjusting as needed to gradually increase exposure and avoid overdoing it. That way you don't have to deal with the long wait if you overshoot.

    Reta strength fading already?

Thanks for the advice. I'm on 2.5mg to start, using a pen with a short needle (4mm I think). I left it out of the fridge for maybe 5 mins before injecting. Update: The red mark is going away now, didn't hurt at all. My appetite is coming back, I can eat a proper meal now instead of just...

    Reta strength fading already?

Just started Reta Sunday night. Monday and Tuesday, barely any appetite. But tonight, I'm starving! Does that mean it's losing its effect? Also, got a red spot near the injection site. Normal, or a reaction?

    GLP-1 Plotting - Am I overthinking?

I saw this recently, might be helpful: https://glp1plotter.com/

Didn't notice til I looked back!

Body dysmorphia is a real thing. I didn't see a difference in myself either until my clothes started fitting differently. Measurements and progress pics were more helpful to me than stepping on the scale. My doc actually suggested that early on, which I appreciated.
