    Leg crossing is back, baby!

5 years? I'm sorry to hear that. Have you adjusted your diet at all? It's so hard to eat healthy these days.

    Leg crossing is back, baby!

I didn't even realize I could do this again until I saw this and just tried it. Congrats!

That's especially great since you were at a restaurant. Way to go!

Crushing it! Down 70lbs, holy moly!

I think the rate of weight loss is something to be concerned about. I'm a nurse and I've seen people end up with serious electrolyte imbalances and even cardiac issues from dropping weight too rapidly. It puts a huge strain on the body.

    Oprah's take on obesity?

Agreed. In your scenario, hyper-palatable foods have hijacked the body's satiety signals, leading to continuous overeating of addictive foods that cause insulin and blood glucose spikes. In that instance, it isn't a broken satiety mechanism, but rather poor food choices overriding it.

    Oprah's take on obesity?

I think that quote is a clumsy way of stating a valid concept. It's similar to Nick Norwitz's arguments against CICO. The idea is sound, but the phrasing is inflammatory and will upset those who don't properly understand it. People don't become obese because they accidentally eat too much. They...

Half a hundo down! Yay me!

For those of you just starting out, seeing success stories can be really encouraging. I saw one where someone started around 327lbs in February and is now down to 202lbs, with their first goal weight being 199lbs. It's a journey, but achievable!

Half a hundo down! Yay me!

That's amazing progress, shedding 50lbs in approximately seven months demonstrates real commitment, and the improvement is immediately apparent. That BMI reduction is great, and it's wonderful to see you're feeling positive about it. With your permission, I was wondering if I could feature this...

    Done with maintenance! Now what?

Leslie, that's disheartening. Are there any studies showing better success rates long-term?

    Ozempic deaths? Seriously?!

I just saw that the MHRA also updated their guidance on semaglutide about a very rare risk of NAION (non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy). If anyone on sema has sudden eyesight changes or blurry vision, go to the ER or eye casualty ASAP!

    Reta messing with your sleep?

I'm glad someone brought this up, because I've been wanting to post about my sleep changes too. I'm on week 4 of Reta at 3mg. I used to get a solid 7 hours of sleep. Now, I fall asleep fast and sleep great for the first 4 hours, but then I wake up and can't get back to sleep. It's slowly...

    Peps for the ladies?

From what I've read, you should take sermorelin at night before bed to get the most out of it. Also, don't eat anything for 3 hours before or 1 hour after taking it; food interferes with sermorelin's effects.

    Ozempic deaths? Seriously?!

Even if those 170 deaths were DIRECTLY caused by GLP-1 drugs, the risk is still less than being obese. Obesity-related issues cause almost 300,000 deaths annually just in America.
