Just took my last dose of Mounjaro today. I'm also diabetic and have been on it since late 2022. Sadly, my insurance changed, so I might switch to Ozempic if I can swing it. Tricare can be a pain with approvals. My A1c is at 5.4%, used to be 11%! I was diagnosed in 2021.

Okay, I'm probably gonna get flamed for this. Calorie_Coffee, easiest way to get Ozempic or Mounjaro is insurance AND a T2D diagnosis. Same with Medicare. Script has to be for T2D, NO mention of obesity. But if it's not on your formulary, it's a no-go. If you're T2D, push for the insurance...

Great write-up. Just to add a nuance on the GH secretagogues: even though ipamorelin is considered "cleaner" than older GHRPs, you can still see increases in fasting glucose in some people over time. I've seen IGF-1 go up nicely but A1C creep too. Anyone running these longer than 3–6 months...

I think "Ozempic face" is a totally made-up concept. It's just another way for society to judge people and feel superior.
