    Ozempic & the Big 'C' - what's working?

I've noticed that Magnesium Glycinate helps. Plus, it's a sleep aid too.

    GLP-1 not working for me?!?

The reasons why some people don't respond to GLP-1 receptor agonists aren't fully understood yet by researchers. Have you considered trying tirzepatide instead of semaglutide?

    Ozempic & the Big 'C' - what's working?

For many years, predating my venture into Ozempic, I battled chronic constipation. The situation escalated to the point of daily rectal bleeding, diagnosed by a specialist as both internal and external hemorrhoids. A procedure addressed the internal ones, coupled with preventative measures for...

    Reta plateau... what gives?

I'm using cjc 1295 and ipamorelin blend, a 5mg/5mg mix. You can take it once a day, in the morning before a workout, or 30-60 mins before bed. Fast for 2 hours before and wait 30 mins after. I'm taking 200mcg daily. cjc tells your pituitary to produce GH, and ipamoralin tells your pituitary to...

    Weight Back After Stopping?

I think you're right. We've heard from people in clinical trials who said nothing was offered when the trials ended. People would do better with a plan if their insurance stopped paying for their GLP or if they couldn't tolerate it anymore. If not a different med, then at least counseling or...

    Weight Back After Stopping?

There are other options besides GLP-1s forever, like Contrave after stopping GLP-1s. One university found that non-diabetics kept the weight off by switching to metformin after stopping GLP-1s. It's not in the drug companies' interest to help people find alternative drugs to stop GLP-1s, but...

    Weight Back After Stopping?

Totally! I'm sure the food noise came back with a vengeance. Wonder how that impacts trial results.

    Reta dose increase = bonk?

Thanks for all the tips everyone! Just an update, I think going forward I am going to stay at 2mg for a while. No need to rush this process, especially if it leads to feeling terrible.

    Reta dose increase = bonk?

I don't know if I've ever heard "bonked" used that way before. I usually think of someone hitting their head! 🤪 For the first few months on Tirz, I had similar episodes that were almost always because I forgot to eat or drink enough, or something I ate or drank didn't agree with me. Once I got...

    Reta dose increase = bonk?

Interesting! Sounds like you might need to stop it for serious training, at least for some of us.

    Reta dose increase = bonk?

I think you all are right about the blood sugar. It felt like my glucose just tanked hard. I think I raised the dose too quickly and injected too close together (twice weekly for me). I've also noticed I need to keep my carb intake up on Reta. Reta + low carb isn't working for me.

    Reta dose increase = bonk?

Hey everyone, So, I did a thing... I bumped up my Reta dose today, going from 2mg to 3mg. About six hours later, I felt like I'd just finished a crazy hard workout. All shaky, dizzy, and super nauseous. Had to down some pie and ice cream to get it under control, which took about half an hour...

My year on sema vs. Off

Just hit my target weight after about 9 months on Ozempic. Down 77 pounds! Started with a BMI around 36, now I'm at 25. Been losing about 2 pounds weekly. Changed my focus from just getting thinner to becoming fitter and stronger before starting the medication, and I think that helped a ton.
