I totally get that fear! I think the key is to use the med to help you build new habits. It's not just about the appetite suppression, it's about learning how to eat and live differently so you can maintain the loss after.

I've also seen cases where people's testosterone levels increased significantly while on these meds. It may be correlated with weight loss/better blood glucose control. This is anecdotal, of course. Remember to always discuss any medical concerns with your doctor!

I saw a post somewhere about someone who stopped completely. They'd lost a lot of weight over like, ten years with diet/exercise, then used the meds for a few months to get to their goal. Sounds like lifestyle is still key! I hope I can do the same.

Interesting thread! I wanted to share my experience a few weeks after starting sema. My A1C went from 7.8 to 6.6, glucose dropped from 147 to 111, and my blood pressure went from 145/90 to 122/80. Seems things are moving in the right direction. I've been increasing water intake and fiber.

I've been on both, and I even got cyclic vomiting syndrome from sema. Finding a company with B12 helped a lot!
