I've been wondering about that, too! Heartxx mentioned plateaus. I've read some people think they're more insulin resistant if they don't see results immediately. It's interesting to consider.
I don't think that's necessarily BAD progress, though? It averages to about 1.3 lbs/week on a low dose.
I'm seven weeks in, losing about 0.9-1 lb each week. I need to lose around 75 lbs total. It would be a 130lb reduction from my highest weight (been working on this before starting sema)...
GLP-1 Medications and Sleep: Fatigue, Insomnia, OSA, and Peptides
This topic comes up constantly: "Why am I exhausted on this?" "Why can't I sleep?" "Why do I suddenly wake up early?" Or on the flip side: "My sleep apnea improved so much!"
I've spent a lot of time digging through user reports...
It's so interesting how everyone's maintenance is different. I've been on 7.5mg every 10 days for a few months now and it seems to be my sweet spot. Listen to your body, like FoodStrong153 said!
MounjaroMission Isn't it wild? People have such a distorted view of what a healthy weight looks like these days. It's like if you're not significantly overweight, you're suddenly 'wasting away.'
Thanks for posting. I'm currently on 0.45 (first week) and still haven't noticed any real appetite suppression. I was on 0.25 for five weeks prior. I feel pretty fatigued, but that's about it. Fingers crossed I'll start seeing some changes soon.
For those just starting semaglutide, remember the standard titration schedule: usually .25mg for the first month, then .5mg for the second, 1.0mg for the third, 1.7mg for the fourth, and then 2.4mg for maintenance according to clinical trials.
I've also been hitting protein ice creams, but they are so expensive. I broke down and got a Ninja Creami so I can make my own with protein shakes and sugar free yogurt. It's working really well!
