    Lost a TON on Mounjaro!

The access path varies a lot - some people go through telehealth for the script, others source directly when insurance won't cover or the script isn't happening. The 18lbs already is solid early momentum.

    Making BAC water at home?

Bacteriostatic water prep at home is well-documented across the forum. The short version: sterile water plus 0.9% benzyl alcohol by volume. Sourcing pharmaceutical-grade benzyl alcohol is the main variable. Many EU/South American users go this route because commercial BAC options either don't...

    Down 99, still goin'!

99 down with 29 to go is already past the hardest stretch - the last 20-30 tend to move slower but the body's already recalibrated to a lower operating point.

    Cartalax: Anyone tried it?

Nowadays when I recon with 1ml BAC, I use only 0.5ml in a pen cartridge. Then I rinse the vial with fresh 0.5ml BAC and add that to the cartridge too. Boom—1ml in the cartridge and I know I got everything out.

    Scary rebound after titrating down?

I'm trying to stay on the lowest effective dose possible. Someone mentioned they stayed on 0.5 for a year and then went down to 0.25! I really think slow and steady is the way to go for long-term success.

    Scary rebound after titrating down?

I started at 0.08 and I'm up to 1.5 of Semaglutide. I've lost about a dozen pounds in a month and a half. I'm hoping to keep losing and maintain it. I started at 195 and would love to be around 150. Fingers crossed!

    Scary rebound after titrating down?

I had the exact same experience. The food noise came back immediately. I thought after a year of peace, my body wouldn't revert. It totally freaked me out. My hands also started puffing up, I guess from water retention or inflammation. I'm planning on staying on this medication for life.

Tirz arrived! When do I pin?

Congrats on your progress, you look phenomenal! Reddit is a great place to find a supportive community.

Tirz arrived! When do I pin?

I dropped 70 pounds in about 8 months while never exceeding 5mg of tirz weekly. I still do zone 2 cardio (25-30 mins) fasted, 5 days a week, and lift weights hard for an hour, 4 days a week, all while maintaining a 1000-calorie deficit. TRT and weight training helped preserve muscle. I did this...

Hit a milestone! Down 8 stone!

That's a great point, Snack-Progress. I found that dialing in my macros and adding more resistance training really helped me break through some plateaus. It's not just about the meds; it's a lifestyle change.

Hit a milestone! Down 8 stone!

I've always thought of my weight in stones. Then the screening that made me start this journey used kilos. And I’ve been using kilos ever since. It makes the math easier in my spreadsheet for BMR and BMI. I do like the pounds count, though, because it's a bigger number and feels more impressive!

Hit a milestone! Down 8 stone!

Thanks! Some weeks the loss was slower, but no real stalls, thankfully. I did gain a little on a vacation where I didn't worry about what I ate. I still couldn’t eat a ton, but I ate everything I wanted!

Hit a milestone! Down 8 stone!

Just hit the next milestone on my journey! Officially down 8 stone! I know my tracker is set to kilos, which might be confusing for some. I'm really happy about this. I track my dosages weekly (Tirz) and switched to a cheaper source a few weeks ago thanks to tips in here. 51kg gone! Still a ways...

Reta: 40lbs gone in 60 days!

I think True_Coffee330 makes a valid point about the speed of weight loss, though. It's good to be aware of the potential risks and make sure you're doing things in a healthy way. Like they said, hydration is key!

    Mounjaro > Ozempic?

I've heard tirzepatide can be a lot more effective. Someone I know started it after me and has already seen amazing results. Has anyone else found this to be true?

    Mounjaro > Ozempic?

I went from 2mg Ozempic to 2.5 Mounjaro because I wasn’t losing much weight on Oz, even though my a1c was fine. It seems less effective at controlling cravings than Ozempic, but my digestion is much better. Only time will tell if it controls my a1c the same or better.

Reta: 40lbs gone in 60 days!

Congrats on ditching the BP meds! I got a terrible cough from that stuff and it took a month to realize it was the cause. Took forever to get rid of it. My doc prescribed it for high BP too. Didn't say anything about METABOLIC SYNDROME – high BP, overweight...and that I could fix it by taking...

    Mounjaro > Ozempic?

Lucky you! I take Oz, but my insurance changed the rules, so I can't get Mounjaro. Actually, looks like I might not qualify for Oz either, but I'm not saying anything to anyone!

    A year on GLP-1s!

I'm down 75lbs now in about a year and my A1C is almost normal now. Next blood draw is coming up, so I'm eager to see the results. It's great to know the benefits just keep coming.

Ozempic Diary: A Year On, A Year Off

I agree that Ozempic is a tool, not a cure. I've heard from others in maintenance that they've had success with lower doses. It might be an option for those concerned about weight regain after stopping completely. Has anyone tried that? I'm curious about experiences with low-dose maintenance.
