    Diabetes checkup - goals achieved!

That's a great idea about rewarding your milestones! I'm going to try that. I'm down 40lbs myself on sema, A1c is down to 5.4. Feeling fantastic. It took me about 6 months.

    Ozempic long-term - my story

I hear you, Robin16. I've been a T2D patient for over 30 years and I was almost at the point of needing insulin. Now I'm training for a marathon! It's amazing what these meds can do. I love that your doctor was moved as well. Congratulations to everyone seeing positive results!

That's a valid concern. It's all about lifestyle changes, man. The meds help you get there, but it's about building new habits.

    180 gone--woot!

Hey BeeWine432 and DocInTheBox et al... I'm still struggling with some hunger. I know the med is supposed to reduce 'food noise' but that hasn't been my experience. Anyone else still feel hungry on max dose?

I've managed to drop 180 pounds too! About half my starting weight in about 9 months. Started at 360, now I'm at 180.

    Reta for Type 1 Diabetics?

I started using Mounjaro about a year ago and it's been life changing. I've been dealing with T2 for years. I lift weights 4 times a week now. I've gone from around 270 lbs down to like 175 lbs. All my vitals are looking awesome.

    New to GLP-1s? Start Here

As someone who started this for diabetes, not weight loss, I appreciate that you mentioned A1C. My blood sugar went from the 8s down into the 5s over time. The weight loss was almost secondary for me. One thing I would stress to other diabetics: monitor your glucose closely during dose...
