    Ozempic journey: My experience

Thanks! It felt amazing. I'm hoping this is the last time I ever see a 2 at the beginning of my weight again.

    Sema stopped working?? Anyone else?

Thanks, everyone. I'll focus on tracking and exercise and see if it makes a difference. I guess I was hoping for a miracle, haha.

    Protein coke float? Yum!

I've seen quite a few people online talking about how restrictive diets like OMAD might not be the best long-term. It might be tough to get all the nutrients you need in just one sitting.

    Sema stopped working?? Anyone else?

Thanks for the replies everyone! I'm aiming for a calorie deficit, but maybe I'm not being strict enough about tracking. And I should definitely try to move more, Dakota1976. I didn't realize how many steps you were taking. That's amazing!

    Ozempic journey: My experience

I can relate. I've gone from 350 to 197. Keto got me most of the way there, but it seemed to slow down after a couple of years when I was at 207. Stopped and gained back to 245. After a couple of years, started Zepbound and finally hit the 100s last week! It's amazing what you can do when...

    Losing Coverage for GLP-1s?!

The manufacturer may have a program if your insurance doesn't cover it.

    Sema stopped working?? Anyone else?

Has sema stopped working for anyone here, like the title says? Some background: I started sema via my PCP in early '24. Shed about 15-20 pounds. Then I lost my job and had to stop taking it, and I unfortunately gained all of that weight back plus around 10 pounds. I started taking it again and...

GHK-cu: Did I expect too much?

Refill the pen, never the cartridge! If you're going to use something every day for a month, you should probably filter it. That's a whole other topic, but there are vids and such for it. There are tons of places to look for pens. You'll find lots of discussion here. What's available and...

    Losing Coverage for GLP-1s?!

The patent is expiring soon! Generic equivalents should enter the market shortly, cutting prices by 50% maybe.

    Stopping GLP-1s? It's so hard!

It's vital to transition patients off GLP-1s carefully, particularly those with a history of disordered eating. We need to monitor body composition, not just weight, and address any psychological issues that may arise. Muscle loss is a real concern.

    Losing Coverage for GLP-1s?!

I spend $350 each month for a 4mg pen using a coupon. Breaking it down, that's about $55 weekly. I think I'm actually saving money, considering I buy less food and fast food now. I used to spend at least $100 a week on takeout.

Starting Ozempic - First Week Thoughts

I know a lot of women with PCOS are prescribed Ozempic for blood sugar management. Anyone else here have PCOS and find it helps?

JKL peps - anyone try them?

I'd personally rather get my peptides a doctor. It costs more, but at least you know what you're getting is real and safe.

Starting Ozempic - First Week Thoughts

That nail biting thing is fascinating! GLP-1s seem to work on similar brain pathways as addiction medications. The reduction in food noise was a big surprise for me, too. Since you're in Southeast Asia and access is limited, you might want to explore compounded semaglutide if you have trouble...

Just got my sema, now what?

That syringe is just a syringe. It is not filled with medication. You need to determine how many 'units' to inject. Your prescription will tell you how many units you need. Do NOT inject the contents of multiple syringes. You will get very sick.

Ozempic and Vomiting: How Scared Should I Be?

To help with nausea, some people find that ginger tea works. Also, many people recommend eating light on the day of the injection and the day after, and avoiding alcohol during that time too.
