Yeah, that would work. I got pH strips from Amazon that someone on Peppy's recommended. Disposable strips are usually the same, some have wider ranges. Mine bottomed out at pH 4, and I was somewhere between 4 and 4.5. No sting at all, surprisingly.
All I know is my pH is now 4.5 instead of 6. I added the acetic acid AFTER reconstituting with bac. Should I have mixed the acid with the bac FIRST? Does it even matter? Also, does the pH need to be right BEFORE reconstituting? Maybe none of this matters lol. Any real scientists wanna weigh in...
