GLP-1 Slow Start - Anyone Else?

Six weeks at 0.25mg with minimal movement is common - appetite effect builds gradually over the first few weeks at starter doses. Most people hit clearer suppression at 0.5mg. A month and a half in is still early.

Brain space: What DO you even THINK about?

The third-shot insomnia pattern is real and tends to normalize by shot 5-6 as the body adapts to the changed metabolic baseline. The 'tired but wired' state is a known early-phase response, particularly in the 24-48 hours post-injection. The brain-space shift - not thinking about food - tends to...

Reta dosage - time to go up?

The effect doesn't disappear on restart, but receptor sensitivity after a multi-month break may need recalibration. Most people retitrate from a lower dose and reach their previous response within 4-6 weeks. The second titration tends to move faster because the body's baseline is already...

    Face Gains?!

It's interesting how the visual changes can be so impactful. I remember the moment I realized I had tons of extra room in a bariatric chair! Small victories like that are huge.

    Face Gains?!

That's a serious transformation. Seeing results like this keeps me motivated. Being consistent with sema, even through some telehealth service, really pays off.

I can reach my feet again! 😃

These GLP-1s are such game changers! I've seen so many patients regain not just mobility, but their confidence too. It's more than just weight loss; it's quality of life.

I can reach my feet again! 😃

Just wait until you can sit on the floor with your legs crossed and not think you're about to die. Pure bliss, I tell you.

Novo & Hims - Friends now?

Guys, I just read that a huge chunk of Ireland's exports to the US are now weight loss drugs. Insane, right? Apparently, the US now gets almost half of Ireland's total exports.

Novo & Hims - Friends now?

Classic big pharma move, honestly. I'm just waiting for the generic version of Semaglutide to hit the market. Hopefully, it'll be way cheaper, like under $100 a month.

Ozempic for BED - Anyone else?

I'm already dreading the loose skin. I keep seeing myself as bigger than I am, even though my clothes are falling off. I think it might take a year for my brain to catch up.

Ozempic for BED - Anyone else?

Ozempic isn't working for me so far. I'm 13 weeks in, at 0.5mg, and the food noise and binge eating are still there. I'm going to try 1.0mg, and if that doesn't work, I'll stop.

    Mots-c & NAD+ Daily? Bad idea?

There's a moderate interaction listed. You should check your glucose more often to be sure it's okay. Here's a link with more info: https://www.drugs.com/drug-interactions/hydrochlorothiazide-with-rybelsus-2817-2063.html

Anyone else get grossed out by food on sema?

Yes! I had to spit out some chicken last night and a hot dog today because the texture and flavor were repulsive. I also can't do any protein supplements, toothpaste, or anything with sucralose. I've also become sensitive (itchy) to stivia, so I cannot tolerate most protein supplements.

Anyone else get grossed out by food on sema?

I began in November, and once I reached 0.5, my tastes became really limited. My available foods have been slowly increasing, but it's been super slow. Smell and texture are huge factors in what I can't eat. I find that easily digestible foods that aren't rich, oily, or fatty are better for me...

Best way to toss needles while traveling?

That's a good idea. I've never had an issue with TSA, but it's always a thought in the back of my mind.

    Anyone still rockin' PayPal?

Some places accept bank transfers. Another one, I think, does PP.

Best way to toss needles while traveling?

Pip makes a great travel container that fits their needles perfectly. I'm a frequent traveler (more than half the year) I have been using it for three years. If there's a sharps container in an airport bathroom, I'll use it. If not, I bring them back.
