A year on meds, down 80+ lbs!

Congrats to everyone doing so well! Remember to focus on overall health, not just the number on the scale. That includes strength training, good nutrition, and plenty of rest.

    Ozempic: Unexpected Benefits?

I totally agree, Groovy_Lady. If something can help treat a health condition, that's a good thing, not a sign of weakness! It's not magic, it just helps make things manageable.

    Ozempic: Unexpected Benefits?

Wow, I didn't even realize it, but I've only had 2 headaches in the last 10 weeks! Used to be a daily thing. I don't have sugar issues, but maybe it's the focus on protein and way less junk food?

    Ozempic: Unexpected Benefits?

I wish it worked for my headaches, but no luck. However, I realized my dry mouth and swollen feet might have been diabetes symptoms all along. It's strange not having puffy feet for the first time in my 40s.

    Who knows about your GLP-1?

I tell everyone. A friend shared her experience on social media, which led me to learn more about GLP-1s. I don’t care if people judge me, and if my story can help someone else, that's great!

Weight Comes Back After Stopping GLP-1s?

It's just like if you stop taking meds for any chronic issue, the symptoms come back. When will people get that obesity is a disease for many? Some folks can't tell when they're full, constantly fight food cravings, and can't 'just eat less and move more'. It makes sense to stay on GLP-1s...

Weight Comes Back After Stopping GLP-1s?

I was on it for a year and dropped 65 lbs. It's been like 6 months since I stopped, and I've only put back on maybe 5 lbs. I'm not as strict as I was, but my appetite is still way lower than before. Fingers crossed it stays this way!

GLP-1 GI Distress: Am I Alone?

Ozempic actually cured my chronic diarrhea by making me constipated. Now that I'm back on thyroid meds because of problems with the first kind... guess I need to find the most pure form..

OMG, I know this feeling! Had to use a sweater as a cover-up once. Underwear went straight to the garbage can.
