GLP meds - are they a forever thing?

Exactly It's like blood pressure medication. You don't stop taking it just because your blood pressure is under control, right?

GLP meds - are they a forever thing?

I've always viewed GLP-1s as a treatment, not a cure. I plan to stay on some version of them for life. That might explain my irrational desire to hoard multiple years' worth. I'm never stopping. I'm never going back. I just can't.

    Finally preggo after Ozempic!

Weight loss can release stored estrogens, which might reduce the hot flashes temporarily. Have you thought about HRT or supplements/foods to boost estrogen?

GLP meds - are they a forever thing?

My main takeaway is that the brand-name prices aren't sustainable long-term for most people. Compounding pharmacies are the solution. I'm probably going to stay on these forever, and I'm okay with that.

    Finally preggo after Ozempic!

Congratulations! I'd advise looking into myo-inositol and/or metformin with your doctor during pregnancy. Like GLP-1s, they can improve insulin sensitivity, which is great for PCOS. There's research suggesting metformin might even lower miscarriage risk in PCOS patients...

    FDA squeezing compounding pharmacies?

To answer Lee_32's question, GLP-1s are medications originally for diabetes, but they're now used for weight loss too. Think Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro. Because of shortages and high costs, some people are turning to compounded versions. There's a lot of debate about the safety and legality of...

    Reta taste changes?

Exactly. The slowed gastric emptying is key. It's not necessarily the food itself, but the quantity. Eating smaller portions, more frequently, can often mitigate the negative side effects.

    Reta taste changes?

I had a massive sweet tooth, always reaching for something sugary at work. Now, I can easily resist. The craving is just...gone. I still enjoy sweets, just don't need them constantly. Now, I actually want savory things.

My T30 is also orange. I've seen a couple of COAs from the vendor and a third-party. Hopefully it's good. I did my first shot from this batch last night.
