    Restarting GLP-1 after surgery?

I disagree with waiting unless you have side effects. I've had several major surgeries while taking these meds. Every time I was cleared, I restarted. I wasn’t always hungry while healing, but that's okay. As long as you're eating enough, I wouldn't delay restarting. It's a lifestyle change, not...

Upping my dose - kinda scared!

I also think people waste a lot of medication. There's often some left in the pen after the last dose. I always get extra needles and use every last bit.

    Protein on GLP-1s?! Help!

Try the Oikos Pro yogurt! Each little container has 20 grams of protein. OWYN protein shakes are worth a shot too. Maybe some egg whites if you can manage?

Upping my dose - kinda scared!

My dose was supposed to double this week, but I only went up a few units. It's working well where I am, and I'm avoiding nausea by making small adjustments.

How long 'til I can party again?

If you really want to enjoy that bachelorette party, you should probably stop taking it a month before (I'm saying this because I understand that gross feeling when drinking). But keep in mind that after being off it for a month, you will probably have to start your dosages at the lowest level...

    Restarting GLP-1 after surgery?

Two weeks off isn't usually a big deal. If you were off for a month or more, I'd suggest lowering the dose and titrating back up. But in your case, I'd say you can go ahead and restart now.

    GLP-1 for grandma?

Tirzepatide (like Mounjaro) apparently has fewer side effects for some people, but it's not actually semaglutide. It's a different drug class. Ultimately, she needs to discuss this with her physician.

Weight Loss Meds: Working *Too* Well?!

I always say, you can't be too rich or too thin! 😉 Just kidding... mostly. Seriously though, it's about health, not just vanity.

    Down 80+ lbs! Feeling hopeful!

It's amazing how much more confident you feel after losing a significant amount of weight. I've noticed some colleagues who haven't seen me in a while look surprised, but they don't always say anything. I think some people are afraid to comment on weight loss in case they offend someone or...

Wow! You look fantastic, way younger than your age. I'm only down about 28 pounds after a year – a slow loser – and only a few years behind you. This gives me some hope! We all know it doesn't just fall off. You have to put in the work. Congrats!

    Belly apron shots hitting different?

I had to stop injecting into my stomach because it was making me nauseous. I started injecting my thigh again and feel fine.
