    51 shots later... almost there!

I'm seeing a real difference! It's been about 24 months and 51 injections, going from around 375 pounds to weighing in at 166. Been quite a journey... I'm 61. Weight changes are just part of the deal at this stage of life. I'm really trying not to obsess over the scale these days. I've gone...

Slow and steady wins the race?

That's rapid weight loss, and could be concerning. Rapid weight loss can sometimes indicate a loss of muscle mass rather than just fat, and can also be related to dehydration or other underlying health issues. Always best to check with a doctor if you're losing weight very quickly.

Slow and steady wins the race?

A pound a week is a reasonable and sustainable target. I'd suggest continuing as you are and prioritizing your food habits.

    Coming off GLP-1s - tips?

Yeah, I agree with Brave_Bison_420. Extreme restriction after stopping can mess you up. I've heard that planning regular meals throughout the day can help - like every 2-3 hours. Keep your body nourished and don't let yourself get to the point of extreme hunger.

    Coming off GLP-1s - tips?

It is great that you want to stay at a low dose. But only a small percentage of people can do this. Most need to increase above 0.5 if they want to lose a noticeable amount of weight. The main weight reduction doses are 1.0 and higher. I plan on using a different daily pill (as needed) when I...

But don't go too crazy buying a whole new wardrobe right away! Save some money for later when you reach your goal. I made that mistake!

    GLP-1 weight regain - inevitable?

What's so bad about taking something for life that lowers your risk of heart attacks, strokes, and dementia? People take vitamins hoping for a fraction of the benefit of a GLP-1.

    GLP-1 weight regain - inevitable?

Yes, my eating changed. The food 'off' switch broke again. Exercise stayed the same: swimming over 6 miles a week, hiking 1000-foot climbs once or twice a week, plus cycling and weights. My calorie intake went way up.

    Reconstituting peps - noob q's

Good info on storing peptides! I found this: all vials should be stored in sealed plastic containers. Refrigerate both mixed and unmixed ones.

    GLP-1 weight regain - inevitable?

Did your eating or exercise habits change? You'll gain weight if you eat more calories than you burn over a period of time.

    GLP-1 weight regain - inevitable?

Nobody's saying you shouldn't work out. It's got huge benefits! It's just that some people are in denial about their diets and think the gym will make up for eating poorly. It doesn't.

    Reconstituting peps - noob q's

FYI on 10ml vials… the stoppers can trap liquid between the stopper and vial. For those, I use a bottle opener to take off the crimp after mixing, draw the liquid with a 27ga x 1.5” luer lock needle on a 3ml syringe, take off the needle, put on a syringe filter, and inject into a sterile vial.

    GLP-1 weight regain - inevitable?

There's a saying: 'You can't outrun a bad diet.' Basically, you can't lose weight just by exercising. You HAVE to fix your diet! So it makes sense that going back to your old diet would cause faster weight gain than going back to being lazy.

    GLP-1 weight regain - inevitable?

When my insurance stopped covering Ozempic, I put on like, 20 lbs in 60 days. It was rough.
