    Losing insurance, scared about meds!

That's fantastic progress, Juice_FWIW! Congrats on the improved A1c and weight loss. Tricare SHOULD cover both Mounjaro and semaglutide if you have T2D. Your doc needs to do a prior auth, but with a diabetes diagnosis, it should be fine. Liraglutide is also generic now; older med, but it helps...

    Tesa turning to jelly?!

Thanks for that link! I've been looking for a good calculator for dosing. It's tough to get it right the first time.

    Losing insurance, scared about meds!

Yeah, dig around on this site for info on buying "kits" (boxes with multiple vials at the stated dosage) from online places. Search by the generic name of whatever injectable you're using. Just know it'll be a powder, so you gotta get the right kind of sterile water and syringes separately. Do...

    Tesa turning to jelly?!

Just happened to me this week. Mixed a vial of Tesa. It was a 10mg vial and my dose is 1mg, so 10 doses. 9 were fine, but one gelled after I dropped it. I've read to be gentle when mixing, like don't shake it. When I dropped the syringe, it gelled right away. So, be gentle.

    Tesa turning to jelly?!

pH should be around 5.7 (4.5 to 7.0 range).

    8 months on this stuff!

That's amazing progress! I've heard some people experience slower loss towards the end. I wonder if changing your diet or exercise routine might help?

    Life changing meds!

I've noticed a significant decline in my libido since starting these meds. Has anyone else experienced this? It's impacting my relationship.

    Life changing meds!

I agree completely. My life has changed so dramatically. I hated being so heavy. I deprived myself for years. I exercised and avoided all carbs for so long. I could barely squeeze into a size 12. Now I eat what I want in moderation, focusing on protein and veggies. If I want a treat, I can have...

Coming off GLP-1 meds... anyone else?

I get what you mean. I quit taking my statins and had a heart attack and died, but I didn't want to depend on medication. I may be dead now, but at least I was right! Why did you stop taking GLP-1? It's supposed to be a long term treatment.

Ozempic progress - seeing is believing!

I've noticed that too, TrimSis. People often look younger and more vibrant after losing weight. The reduction in inflammation alone can make a huge difference in skin health and overall appearance. It's about so much more than just the size on your clothes.

Thin privilege? It's real after GLP-1s!

I've heard that focusing on strength training is key for keeping muscle mass. Also, don't beat yourself up if you overindulge during holidays!

Thin privilege? It's real after GLP-1s!

I can't wait to look good in photos. I've avoided them for years because I hated how I looked.

Ozempic progress - seeing is believing!

Keep at it! Fantastic job! The toughest thing is modifying your diet. For a long while I was still eating the same old way I did before starting Ozempic. Once I learned to cook better stuff, pack my lunch, and cut out sugary and salty junk food, I felt so much better!

    GLP-1 progress!

For those who have reached their goals, what maintenance doses are you using? I'm trying to get a sense of what works long-term.

Thin privilege? It's real after GLP-1s!

Well said! I totally agree! I'm at a 'normal' weight now, and the way people treat me is what stands out most. More smiles, more introductions in meetings, the works. It's made me want to be extra kind to people who are bigger (which is totally fine!), smiling and saying hello. It's turned me...
