GLP-1 Plateau - what happens when we stop?

I'm still nervous, but the research isn't as scary as I thought. "Around 56% of people who discontinue semaglutide (Wegovy/Ozempic) either maintain their weight or lose even more weight one year later"...

    GHK-Cu soreness - any tricks?

I would like to add that it may be beneficial to add probiotics. It really depends on what the issue is, but I recommend starting with yogurt first.

    Booze on GLP-1s?

Take the shot, but nurse your drinks. I can't handle nearly as much as before without feeling awful. Remember, things stay in your stomach for longer. My desire to drink has decreased dramatically. When I do drink, I don't enjoy it like I used to. Two drinks and I feel like death. Mocktails are...

    Psoriasis & KPV/KLOW: Experiences?

I started that KPV post I think. I still use KPV subQ for eczema flare-ups and to lessen skin sensitivity while on Reta. Reta makes my back so dang itchy! I literally just did a shot because I took Reta yesterday and the itching started. Can't really speak on psoriasis though. As for other...

    Appetite back on higher dose?

I’m experiencing the same thing right now. I’m close to my target weight though. I haven’t gained any weight, but I'm hungrier. My doctor said it’s to be expected and that I need to eat, otherwise I will impact my metabolism.

RD doing an AMA on GLP-1s!

It seems like sudden hair loss is a common side effect that people don't talk about enough. Any suggestions for how to prevent it?

GLP-1 Plateau - what happens when we stop?

I'm feeling discouraged and I'm curious if anyone else has gone through something similar to this. I have PCOS and struggle with insulin resistance. I decided to try Ozempic about a year ago (without consulting a doctor). For about 7 months it was helpful, bringing me down from 185 lbs to...

    Booze on GLP-1s?

It's made me not want to drink. They're even studying it for alcoholism. Socially, a small amount is fine, but solo drinking is a thing of the past. And watch out, hangovers are amplified. Gotta force feed myself and chug water, plus sip super slow.

    Appetite back on higher dose?

I had this issue also. I think I should be on tirzepatide now.

Is feeling tired a typical side effect, or does it mean I'm not eating enough?

    Weirdest Ozempic food cravings?

I have lost about 45 pounds since starting this medication. The biggest thing for me is the way I eat now. I eat much slower, savor every bite, and I can finally ignore cravings!

    Weirdest Ozempic food cravings?

I am all about any kind of citrus. Like, I want to cut up a lemon and just eat it.

    CagriSema flop?

Why don't people stack a myostatin inhibitor with a GLP-1 agonist? That way, you could keep or even gain muscle while losing fat.

    Weirdest Ozempic food cravings?

I'm craving pancakes, which is so weird because I'm on this medication to curb my hunger. Before, I wouldn't be hungry at all. Now I randomly need pancakes lol

GLP-1: Eating less, still no scale movement

Don't get discouraged so soon! It can take time for your body to adjust to the medication. A loss of 5 pounds in 5 weeks is actually good! And weight can change day to day thanks to things like water retention.

    Ozempic Cost - Ouch!

I've heard of insurance companies denying coverage if patients don't lose enough weight. It's awful. Some people just don't respond as well, or have other medical conditions. It's not always about lifestyle! Seems like a lot of folks have to resort to compounding pharmacies.
