    GLP-1 for life, ya'll?

The framing of long-term medication versus the alternative options makes the cost-benefit calculation straightforward. Managing a chronic condition with medication over time is how most chronic conditions get managed - the only reason it feels different is that obesity did not previously have an...

NAD+ messing with my blood sugar?

NAD+ does not show up in standard lab panels. Indirect markers like energy and inflammation can shift, but isolating NAD+ contribution requires specialized testing most labs do not run.

They just don't get it, do they?

The forum dynamic shifts as more casual users arrive - higher question volume, more repetition of basics. The search function handles most of it before it becomes a post, but only for people who know enough to know what to search for.

    Just starting out... your advice?

One thing I wish I knew before starting was that it can be a long term thing! There's a lot of discussion about how to avoid gaining the weight back after you hit your target and go off the meds... but the reality for most people is that this has to be a lifelong thing to keep the weight off...

Does 100 lbs look like this?

Speaking of NSVs, I had to buy new clothes, and I was shocked I could fit into a smaller size than I thought! It's an amazing feeling.

GLP-1 Constipation Got Me Down 😩

I agree with PeptidePals, it's so weird. I haven't had it in years because of what it does to me. No other Mexican food has this effect. Maybe get a protein bowl and pile on the beans and salsa? Could be better than a harsh laxative lol.

    Just starting out... your advice?

Think of the medication as a tool to assist you. You want to establish sustainable habits for maintaining a healthier weight in the long term, so it's wise to begin making these changes sooner rather than later. While the medication can help reduce food cravings and appetite, you're still in...

Does 100 lbs look like this?

Weight loss changes size, but not necessarily shape. Muscle building is what reshapes the body. There's a clear difference in these pictures! Awesome work!

OP, I was dealing with this too, but now I have a glass of psyllium fiber with another fiber supplement every day.

GLP-1 Constipation Got Me Down 😩

I actually had to stop the medication due to severe constipation. It was making me vomit, and I developed a skin rash from the toxins. I tried a common OTC laxative, but it didn't help.

Does 100 lbs look like this?

I've lost about 55 lbs over the last year. Fat came off places I didn't even know existed! My shoes are loose and my wedding ring is swimming on my finger. Things are definitely different in the bedroom! You definitely lost 100lbs, looking amazing!

Looking for blended peps - anyone got leads?

That's interesting. I'd be curious to know more about the legalities of peptide versions and how they compare in terms of efficacy and safety.

Looking for blended peps - anyone got leads?

Do you find that some shipping companies get through customs more easily? Maybe vendors in certain countries are more likely to get flagged. I wonder if a domestic source would be a safer bet, even if it costs more.

Looking for blended peps - anyone got leads?

I think I saw someone mention a supplier that uses a reliable international shipper, even to Australia. I'll see if I can find the post again.

    Mood swings on Reta?

I haven't experienced irritability, but I can definitely say that the 'food noise' disappearing has helped my mental health. I don't feel like I'm constantly battling cravings anymore. Less stress overall.

    Mood swings on Reta?

Another vote for split dosing. I had awful GI problems, allodynia, and tiredness when I tried to titrate to 4mg once a week. But taking 2-2.5mg twice a week helped. I don't THINK I've had much irritability, but it's hard to tell. I'm dealing with normal hormone stuff from my cycle, plus moving...

    Mood swings on Reta?

Yeah, GLP-1s are known to potentially cause anhedonia, but irritability? That's a new one to me.

Mice getting all the good stuff?

I identify as a mouse. Where can I score some Alk5 inhibitor? Already have the oxytocin.

Mice getting all the good stuff?

Between my ruined knees, shot hips, and arthritic back, I'm not sure I'd even want a longer life. I'm only half kidding. If someone offered me healthy joints in exchange for a shorter life, I would have to consider it.
