    Mounjaro Noob: A Cautionary Tale

The metformin-first approach is sensible - letting the metformin establish a baseline before adding Mounjaro gives you a cleaner read on what each medication is contributing. The 'added to' rather than 'switched to' distinction matters for understanding the effect of each component separately.

    GLP-1 Meal Ideas?

That workout routine on basically a donut and some turkey will catch up soon, especially with possible muscle loss. The protein is probably the biggest problem. You probably need around 130 to 150g a day for that activity level, which is hard to reach when you aren't very hungry without really...

Finally gym confident, thanks to meds!

New to this med and I'm in week 2 on Wellbutrin too so the anxiety is weird. Both times I injected my nervous system just went haywire for a bit. I wasn't scared of the needle or anything but my body just freaked out until I went to the gym. Already blown away by how this is working though.

Sulfur Burps on Mounjaro / Tirzepatide — What Worked, What Didn't (community guide)

Saved this. Pepto chewables at first burp is what finally worked for me on week 4 of 5mg. The black tongue thing freaked me out the first time though, would have been nice to know that going in.

Anyone lose on the baby doses? .25 or .5?

started too high on this and felt terrible. scaled way back to 1mg for 20 nights, switched to nasal spray instead of shots. total game changer—deep sleep went from like 30 mins to solid. maybe run it 10–15 days every month from now on.

    Dosage jump too big?

Some days I hurl, some days I don't. Usually hits one or two days after my shot or just nausea for a bit. Once I'm empty I'm fine. Rinse with water and move on. Don't brush your teeth after though—acid wrecks them. Water or baking soda rinse instead.

    Foods tasting weird, anyone else?

I'm so thankful this medication exists and is helping me out. It's still suppressing my appetite, but it's causing another issue: nearly every food just tastes...wrong. Too much salt, strange textures, just 'off.' I can hardly eat anything which means I just throw it away. And I hate wasting...

GLP-1s and Sleep: What to Expect

Not a stupid question — I had no idea what anything was when I started learning. DSIP is delta sleep inducing peptide, restructures sleep for broken circadian rhythms or insomnia. Not a sedative but shifts sleep to normal, deeper. Pin about 30 mins before bed. You can stack it with other...

GLP-1 costs: US vs abroad vs gray market

would totally give it a try. think it took about a month before i was sure it was working. then i had three notable food reactions that didn't show up once i was confident. maybe try for a few weeks then pay attention to whether bumps pop up. cost sucks though - can't afford internal anymore but...

Sharing GLP-1 use: yay or nay?

That's awesome you're responding well! I'm 5 weeks in and my body kinda got used to it. Started grazing more and food noise came back. Still eating way less though. Got irritated after a week and a half—pretty annoying but think it was dehydration and low calories. Did a fast to shift to...

Loose Skin Club - Anyone Else?

Similar story—dropped 45 on ozempic, switched to zepbound. Got nausea and diarrhea when I overate, spaghetti was weird trigger. Two months on zepbound now, not moving yet but upping to 7.5 this week. Body's adapted after years but zepbound feels different, more refined.
