    Exercise on sema? Help!

I saw another post about someone celebrating their "Mounjaroversary" - one year on Mounjaro. A 55-year-old woman went from 220 lbs to around 148 lbs. She does strength training, Zumba, and Pilates. It's inspiring to see how people are incorporating exercise!

Oops - Tirz in the fridge, not freezer!

Lyophilized is fairly stable in the fridge for a few weeks or even months. It's far from ideal but you're probably okay if the vials weren't compromised. I'd reconstitute a small test amount first and see how it looks - any unusual cloudiness is a red flag.

WTF are we gonna use for bac water now?

The bac water situation is frustrating but solvable. Veterinary suppliers and IV supply shops still carry it in a lot of areas. Keep an eye on what's allowed vs restricted where you are.

    Muscle loss worries on GLP-1s?

The muscle loss worry is so valid! The key thing I've seen discussed here is making protein the priority - like non-negotiable. Even when appetite is low, getting that protein in first before anything else. Resistance training on top of that makes a huge difference, even bodyweight stuff if...

    Exercise on sema? Help!

You can't go as hard as you did when you weren't in a deficit. You have to account for that. If you lift, lower the weight a bit. For cardio, don't push too hard. Zone 2 is fine. I'm dieting until June for races and I do an hour of fasted zone 2 cardio in the morning. Then, I do maybe 5 sets of...

    Exercise on sema? Help!

It gets better! I struggled with exercise for maybe 2-3 months. Try having a banana or some other fruit before you exercise. I usually work out on an empty stomach, but not anymore. It helped me a ton. It eventually went away on its own.

Weight stalled but clothes fit looser?

Yes, Jess_18, splitting doses can help some people. I've also read that some find it helpful to cycle off for a short period, then restart at a lower dose.

Weight stalled but clothes fit looser?

I'm always saying, measure yourself! I experience weeks where my weight plateaus, but my waist measurement continues to decrease, and that's what's most important to me.

    GLP-1s: Do they stop working?

I've been stable at 1mg for around a year now. No weight gain.

    GLP-1s: Do they stop working?

From what I've read, GLP-1s tend to level off after about 60 weeks. Actually, most weight loss methods become less effective the closer you get to your ideal weight. As you slim down, your metabolism slows because you don't need as many calories. Your body adapts to exercise and conserves...

Is my weight loss too slow?

I can relate to that Sub_Guy719. I'm a senior citizen, and I wish these meds had been around decades ago. My self-esteem would have been so much better! As it is, I'm really happy to be down about 50 lbs! Only a few more to go. I've been on this medication for about ten months. I had been stuck...

Is my weight loss too slow?

It seems like a sustainable pace. I've been on GLP-1s since December 2022, and as of yesterday, I've lost a total of 110 pounds. It's been slow, but it's given me time to enjoy my new clothes, haha.

    Creatine While on GLP-1?

That's fantastic! It's encouraging to hear how creatine is complementing your semaglutide treatment. Focusing on body composition rather than just the number on the scale is a smart approach.

Is my weight loss too slow?

There's really no such thing as "too slow." It's not like there's a rulebook. Are you losing weight, making improved food choices, and getting healthier overall? Then that's a win!

    Creatine While on GLP-1?

I've tested several different brands, both powders and capsules, and all of them left a metallic taste in my mouth.

    Six Month Reta Check-in

I've heard some people get ulcers from semaglutide. Has anyone else had that experience? I wonder if it is related.

    GLP-1 break: good idea?

I'm currently taking 12.25 mg of Reta and just added 2.5 mg of Tirz, which has helped me get the scales moving again after a stall. I'm around 10 lbs from my target. I'd suggest maxing out the dose of one GLP (either Tirz or Reta) before adding another one.
