Long term GLP-1 use: what to expect

New guy here, only 3 months in. This might be a dumb question but when you say plateau at 12–18 months… does that happen even if you still have a lot to lose? I'm down 40 lbs but need to lose probably another 80. Just trying not to panic ahead of time.

    GLP-1s saved my life, lol

I think the biggest thing I've learned in the past few months is to trust my own body and not feel ashamed for needing help. It's a journey, not a race, y'know?

    GLP-1s saved my life, lol

Just wanted to say thanks again to everyone here. Without this community, I wouldn't have even considered asking my doctor about GLP-1s. I'd still be stuck in that endless cycle of food noise. Seriously, you're all my heroes. Thanks for everything, even though you didn't know you were helping me!

    GLP-1s saved my life, lol

Hey everyone! As a funny person who also happens to have struggled with weight all my life, I was a long-time lurker on this forum before finally deciding to try a GLP-1. Honestly, you all convinced me. I've lost about 25 pounds, and for the first time, I'm not constantly obsessing over my...

    Tirz powder still good?

To answer #2, and maybe I'm being blunt, but seriously, don't inject anything until you're 100% sure you know what you're doing. Messing up the dose can land you in the hospital, seriously.

    Epic Transformations!

I'm so happy you're prioritizing your health, but I want to say you were worthy of love and kindness at 245 pounds too. I'm sorry you weren't treated that way.

    Down 18lbs in 2 months! 🤩

Wow, 18 pounds in two months is amazing! I need to start taking progress pics. I've been avoiding it because I don't like the 'before' shot. But I guess it's good to see how far you've come. Thanks for the inspo!

    Compounding Pharmacies v. FDA?

The pay is insane but I called it living in purgatory. My husband got promoted and I followed 2 years later. Met some nice people but I was VERY happy to move back home to the OC. Even though the pay is 25% less now. But the cancer is spreading in California, someday there will be no pockets of...

    Compounding Pharmacies v. FDA?

I checked your location for a second. I thought you were a nurse in the Bay Area. You live in a place where nurses get paid peanuts. I was making $106 an hour while getting cussed at, spit at, clawed, and hit. (That was 4 years ago. A San Fran nurse is up to $147 an hour.) You need a raise. Sorry.

    Compounding Pharmacies v. FDA?

If compounded versions stay available because of this case, the powers that be would probably just send cease and desist letters to sellers in the US and maybe letters to foreign sellers. But if millions of us start using gray market because it's the only reasonable option? The government will...

    Compounding Pharmacies v. FDA?

It's not just about me. Cheaper drugs are better for everyone. What if it's a drug that stops all heart attacks or cancer? We need to make sure that a cheaper version isn't blocked. We gotta win now so we can win later.

Saggy skin woes on RETA - advice?

Are you on sema or another peptide? "Sema face" is pretty common, mostly due to water loss, I think.

    Compounding Pharmacies v. FDA?

Ah, the American way! Suing the government because one mega-corp's profits might be slightly smaller. If it makes drugs cheaper and easier to get for us regular folks, I'm all for it. But let's be real, this will probably be tied up in court for ages. We might get generic drugs around the time...
