    Finally hit -50! Persistence pays!

To Lab_Mouse_4421: I did start tracking calories more closely, and I aim for a high-protein diet. I also try to get in at least 30 minutes of walking most days, and I've started incorporating some light weightlifting a couple of times a week.

    Finally hit -50! Persistence pays!

It's been quite the adventure, and there were many moments I wanted to throw in the towel. I'd have weeks where the scale wouldn't budge, or even creep up a bit, and plateaus that lasted for what felt like forever. But I stuck with it, and today I'm celebrating officially crossing the 50-pound mark!

    Ozempic face gains!

That's a real thing. It takes time for your brain to adjust. Keep buying smaller clothes – it helps!

    Ozempic face gains!

That's awesome! You've had great results. A word of caution though: consider adding some squats and lunges to your routine. GLP-1s can reduce muscle mass in your glutes and legs, which becomes more important as you age.

    Down 40lbs and feeling good!

I'm down about 38lbs now. It took almost three quarters of a year and then the pounds really started melting off. I was really worried that something was wrong with me, like a serious illness, but doc says I'm in good shape.

Doc said Ozempic made me look older 😭

It's probably part of a basic mental status examination, which includes appearance observations.

Doc said Ozempic made me look older 😭

Years ago, my doctor literally asked if I realized how overweight I was. I confirmed that I did. He then asked if I *really* understood, and again, I said yes. Then he asked me to describe my level of fatness. Docs are weird.

For those of you who have lost weight, did you notice people treating you differently? I've found that strangers are much nicer now!

    Ozempic stopped working?

It stopped working after 6-8 months. I just switched to Mounjaro, and that seems to be effective for me now.

    Ozempic stopped working?

I've been on Ozempic for type 2 diabetes for almost half a decade now. At first, I shed around 15 pounds, but I've gained back all of that and then some. The only side effect I'm still experiencing is some indigestion if I eat anything after dinner. I don't notice any of the benefits anymore. I...

    Hitting maintenance dose?! Update!

Great results – good job putting in the work! I thought maintenance meant going to a very low dose, still taking the shot once a week. Did you get advice from a professional?

Noob questions about Tirz, plz help!

I've been reading up on ways to boost your immune system while on these medications. Ensuring you're getting adequate Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Zinc, Selenium, and Magnesium may be beneficial. Some people even ramp up their Vitamin C intake when they feel an illness coming on.
