Anyone else feel alone on their weight loss journey?

The decision to not disclose is a legitimate one - the research phase before telling anyone else is how a lot of people protect the space they need to get started. Keeping it private until the result is visible is a valid strategy, and the community here exists for exactly the period when you're...

    Dosage jump too big?

Mid-ramp dose doubles are a common early stumble - the side effect window hits harder than the initial dose.

    China med crackdown?

12 days without movement is the export clearance bottleneck - packages are stalling at that step now. Most still clear, but the timeline has stretched to 3-4 weeks.

    Starting Mounjaro this week!

Great question! Track your protein from day one. Your appetite will drop fast, and most people end up eating like 800 calories of junk instead of getting enough protein. I aim for at least 150g a day. If you don't, you'll lose muscle along with the fat, and it'll show.

    Starting Mounjaro this week!

Don't try to keep eating the same portions as before. Your digestion is slower now. Small meals every few hours are better. Avoid greasy, sugary, or super processed stuff, or you might get sick. Hydration and fiber will really help with constipation. Load up on protein. You don't need fancy...

    Halfway There! Woot!

That's interesting. I haven't noticed that specifically, but I've heard some people discuss using tesamorelin for visceral fat reduction. I wonder if that's related?

How long did it take to get halfway? Any pointers for a newbie?

    Injections hurting more now?

Warming the medication a bit can definitely make it less stingy going in!

    Not seeing much progress...advice?

I lost 6# the first month, then only 2# on .5. Just stick with it! And weight gain can happen if you're not eating enough! Your body is adjusting. Definitely talk to your doctor about your concerns.

    Injections hurting more now?

Yeah - you're injecting into the subcutaneous fat under your skin. As you lose weight and those fat stores decrease, there's not as much fat to inject into.

Exactly where I'm at... Hoping someone can give us some hope!

    Injections hurting more now?

I had that happen, Blair1992! Then I read that pinching the skin at the injection site, like nurses do for sub-q injections, helps make sure it goes into the fat layer. I tried it last week and the pain's gone again. Maybe give it a shot?

    Tessamorelin price hikes?!

I've noticed similar price fluctuations in GLP-1 medications lately. It's frustrating when something effective becomes less accessible due to cost. Hopefully, competition will drive prices down soon.

    You look fantastic.

My closet feels like a store now!

I made the mistake of buying clothes after losing only 20 or so pounds, then kept losing! It was amazing to buy an XL instead of a 3XL. Now I'm down to a M or L. Great job!

    GLP-1s: No more excuses?

I know that feeling. And it's hard when you hear people say "there's no magic pill," especially when you feel like you've found one. It's definitely not a magic wand, and you still have to put in the work, but it levels the playing field.

    GLP-1s: No more excuses?

Just be sure to hide the takeout containers better than some on the show, haha. (The producers probably create some of the drama.) I have a young, obese relative with type-1 diabetes who's too scared to even ask their endo about it. I know they're not approved for type 1, but if I had it, I'd...

    GLP-1s: No more excuses?

The strongest GLP-1 meds can cause a 20-25% reduction in weight. So, for those who aren't drastically overweight, they could be considered a "cure" of sorts. That is, if you have the money to pay for it, find a doc who believes treating mild cases is worthwhile, or you're lucky enough to know...
