Healthy food gross now, junk food ok?

The preference shift toward high-protein, lower-reward foods is the GLP-1 receptor mechanism working on palatability circuits beyond appetite suppression - the 'gross' response to formerly rewarding foods follows the same pathway as food noise reduction.

Mounjaro did WHAT?! My 2026 goal!

270 to 160 at 18 months is the long-run case made tangible - different weight class, different metabolic category.

    The 'Ozempic Face' Thing?

The facial volume change is proportional to fat loss rate and baseline adiposity, not medication-specific - any rapid weight loss method produces the same effect.

    Supplements: all the hype?

I don't even track macros like protein, and my labs are perfect. Plenty of energy to work out every day too.

    Supplements: all the hype?

I picked up a GLP-1 multivitamin from Centrum. It's pretty cheap, like $20 for half a year.

Expired Pen? Keep it or toss it?

Just be mindful of potential side effects as you increase your dosage. Some people experience restless legs at higher doses. If that happens, talk to your doctor about possible solutions.

Expired Pen? Keep it or toss it?

I didn't realize there was a 54-day limit. I used my pen for 4 months without any issues.

Expired Pen? Keep it or toss it?

Keep it in the fridge and keep using it. At the very least, it might lose some of its effectiveness, but I would absolutely use it. They're so expensive!

    First time with Ozempic--advice?

I agree with Veggie-Coffee about minimizing meal sizes. Portion control is key on this med. It's not about deprivation, it's about eating mindfully and stopping when you're satisfied, not stuffed. A smaller plate can really help with that.

Upping my dose - kinda scared!

If the concentration remains the same, doubling the units is equivalent to doubling the dose. That can hit you hard. While there's a standard titration schedule, those large increases can be tough. I advise listening to your body and perhaps taking a slightly smaller increase the first week if...

    Pic popped up - wow!

I agree with PulseBTW445. The mirror can be deceiving. I've found that photographs really highlight the difference. You also might notice inflammation reducing as you lose weight.

    First time with Ozempic--advice?

Consider searching for a Canadian group online for GLP-1 users; I've found it pretty helpful. Also, do searches on this forum too. I put together an Ozempic "kit" with stool softeners, a gentle laxative, and prunes. Also anti-diarrheal meds, just in case. And an anti-nausea medicine. I took the...

    First week - Feeling hopeful!

I'm powering through the appetite suppression. Many of my favorite foods don't interest me anymore. I keep rotating the reliable ones. Finding out what works is all trial and error, unfortunately.

    Pic popped up - wow!

That's fantastic progress, and you deserve to feel proud. I've been taking Mounjaro for about half a year, and I'm down to 180 from 195, but the visual difference in pictures is more impactful than the number. What's your target weight?

    GLP-1 for grandma?

That's an interesting question. Some clinics prescribe sermorelin, or combinations of GHRP 2 and GHRP 6, but it’s important to find a reputable place. Be cautious with research-grade products; quality can vary a lot. Definitely get your IGF-1 tested before and after to see if they're even working!

    First week - Feeling hopeful!

I'm a 37-year-old male, and I've had two doses of the starting amount now (for a total of eight days). I've actually gained about half a pound. I haven't seen any noticeable effects yet.
