Tirzepatide - when does it actually work?

Two weeks at 2.5mg without suppression is normal - most people feel it clearly at weeks 4-6. The larger issue is GHRP-2 and GHRP-6: both activate ghrelin receptors directly, which overrides GLP-1 appetite suppression.

    Anyone had luck with Bremelanotide?

Low dose PT-141 works well for most - flushing is the main thing to manage.

    Reta batch Qs

Getting in early on a first batch is the way to secure supply, but first batches are also where the testing data is thinnest - the risk trade-off is worth knowing before committing.

    New clothes time?

I've lost around 45 pounds, but I'm holding off on buying new clothes because I want to lose at least another 55. I'm saving up for a whole new wardrobe when I reach my goal. I'm lucky I mostly work from home, but pants are becoming a problem. For now, I'm using belts or hair ties, but it's...

    New clothes time?

I just bought new clothes! I'm on 7.5 mg. I've lost around 30 pounds and I've gone from a size 16-18 to a 10-12! Edit: I would say it was about 2 months after starting Mounjaro. Ozempic barely did anything for me.

    Period cravings on GLP-1s?

Thanks for the tip gym-rat-now. I'll try focusing on protein more during that time. It's just so hard when all I want is carbs!

    Period cravings on GLP-1s?

Anyone else notice food cravings ramp up when their period is about to start? Seems like for a few days there I am just wanting to eat everything again. I figure it's a hormone thing.

Ozempic kicking my butt - help!

I'm also reading that these meds can have positive effects on libido and confidence, which is interesting. Has anyone else noticed this? I'm hoping once the side effects chill out, I'll see some of those benefits too!

Ozempic kicking my butt - help!

A lot of folks are doing microdosing, counting the clicks for smaller dosages than .25. It's a great option if you're more sensitive or a super-responder. You can gradually increase your dose and see how you tolerate it without making yourself sick.

Ozempic kicking my butt - help!

Thanks for all the replies! I'm gonna chat with my doc about maybe going down to a 0.25 dose and see how that works out for me.

Ozempic kicking my butt - help!

I began taking Ozempic last Tuesday for my type 2 diabetes, and I must say, I have not felt this bad in years. I had trouble keeping any food down and got the worst headache I’ve ever had. I also feel like I've caught some kind of bug. My hubby picked up some meds for nausea and the headache so...

    Faster Sema Dose Increases?

I'm going to track body measurements too, good call ToneLady! The scale can be so discouraging. I'm hoping to lose around 2lbs per week, but I'll take whatever I can get!

    Faster Sema Dose Increases?

I agree I think the side effects at 12mg aren't worth the minor extra weight loss. I'm hoping 8mg is the sweet spot for me.

    Faster Sema Dose Increases?

I've been looking at the published trials, and the typical ramp-up seems to be 2mg every month, then 4mg, then 8mg. Some people even started at 4mg or 8mg, and it mainly came down to how they handled the side effects. I've only had one 2mg injection so far, and I barely felt anything. I'm...

    Mounjaro: Truly Life-Changing!

I totally agree with Weighting-in-Ohio. I lost about 180 lbs myself over two years! It's a lot of work, but I feel amazing. I did this to live longer and healthier.

    Mounjaro: Truly Life-Changing!

It's infuriating that society has been so quick to judge people with obesity as if it's a moral failing. So glad these meds are here to help.
