    Supplements: all the hype?

Just moved from the starting amount up to double that this past Saturday, and haven't managed to eat properly since the start of this week... so it's back to the smaller dose for me. Nausea never fully disappeared through the first month, but it's never hit quite this intensely or lingered this...

    Pen looks a little full...normal?

Would be cautious about stretching any pen well past what it's meant for. How long it stays safe and effective really depends on the specific medication and its instructions. Worth checking with a pharmacist first. Saving a bit of money is nice, but not worth the risk if dosing accuracy or...

When did the scale finally budge??

Started in early May. Began at a higher weight and now sitting notably lower. Genuinely expected a much faster monthly pace, which set up some disappointment early on. Currently on a small weekly amount and the side effects have been genuinely brutal! Hoping this all pays off eventually, but...

    Hunger & Cravings Coming Back?!

Hang in there. Appetite suppression hits some people at the lower dose, others don't feel it until moving up further.

Down 40, wearin' my old jeans!

Honestly no idea since there was no access to a scale for a couple months. A small drop registered a week back, but the number's probably climbing again this week, judging by how the belt fits...

    Wait, *this* is hunger?!

Congrats! This medication really does shift cravings overall. Zero sugar cravings since starting a month back, something that's been a lifelong struggle before this.

    Down 60+ lbs!

Having access to semaglutide at eighteen could've spared decades of struggle. Genuinely, there's nothing left to lose here except that lingering obsession and the extra weight. Feeling better is deserved. Bringing this up with a doctor and moving forward with it seems worth doing.

    Restarting GLP-1 after surgery?

Started at a small amount eight months back for type 2 diabetes. Glucose control's improved a lot and a substantial amount of weight has come off too. Was thinking about asking the doctor about moving up, but from reading around here, staying at a lower amount until it stops working seems like...

    Kinda slow loss. Anyone else?

Hear you completely, same journey here. Lost a solid chunk since the start of the year and it's crawling along. Still got a long way left, ideally. Some people describe theirs melting off. Hasn't been my reality at all. Real effort's gone into every pound. Eating clean, doing pilates a few times...

Higher dose = more weight loss?

Because a major clinical trial found that participants on tirz generally stopped losing weight around roughly a year and a half in, regardless of dosage level.

    Spacing out doses for maintenance?

Bouncing between a couple different dose levels while figuring out maintenance. Also went about 5 lbs past my second goal. Seem to be holding fairly steady with maybe a 2 lb swing either way. Honestly wouldn't mind putting back on about 5 lbs at this point.

    GLP-1s: My body recomposition journey

Took it for six months and it's now been fourteen months since stopping. Gained some back, but it's muscle, not fat. That said, I'm 5'7 and only got down to 70kg on the second compound, which put me at a healthy BMI. Plateaued around 75kg and lift four times weekly. I'd guess at a much lower...

    Reta kicking hypertension's butt!

interesting, my blood pressure usually runs low anyway, somewhere around 100-110/60. Curious if reta would drop that further, never come across anyone mentioning this before

    57 and 70+ lbs lighter!

Kicked off at 0.5 and have bumped the dose up by 0.5 every couple weeks; currently sitting at 2.5 and down 9 kg (19.8 lbs) so far. Planning to stop increasing soon and settle on a maintenance amount that keeps me out of the fridge at odd hours.

    Thigh injection spot?

Personally find the thigh the hardest spot. Way easier doing it in the stomach, always test the needle tip against the skin first and shift to another spot if anything registers. Keep testing until a spot with zero sensation shows up, then go ahead with the injection.
