Day 5 and the monster is back

Same here, that first shot was brutal, migraine, nausea, body aches, the whole package, but it did improve. Just did my fourth round at 5mg today and everything's been smooth.

Mounjaro did WHAT?! My 2026 goal!

Eight months and a good process so far is a solid foundation. 270 to 160 from June to January is around 18 months total - the pace varies a lot person to person but the OP consistency through the whole run is the common thread. What dose are you at and where have the biggest stretches of loss...

    Anyone else kinda like hunger?

The 'I'd happily take this daily if needed' framing is the right benchmark - when the medication is giving you something you genuinely want rather than something you're tolerating, the cost-benefit is completely different. The maelstrom description is the best word for what that constant state...

Tirz, Cagri, Sema all at once?

Coming off and having the food noise return and then going back on at 12.5mg to finally feel it click is such a specific and relatable pattern. The medication was not failing, the break was the problem. How long were you off before starting back?

GLP-1 costs: US vs abroad vs gray market

the same-price-across-brands clause is actually one of the better insurance structures for this - it means switching between Wegovy and Zepbound doesn't create a cost cliff, and you can optimize for clinical response without navigating a separate formulary battle for each. \ per month is on the...

    Six Month Reta Check-in

243 to 168 is a big result and 3 from goal after two months on reta is really close. Switching back to tirz for the final push makes sense if you know what it does for you. What's been the biggest difference between how tirz and reta felt?

    Tirz boost - good idea?

The FDA-approved ceiling exists for clinical reasons and going above it in a self-managed context comes with real unknowns. The approved range is where the safety monitoring was done. If you're not seeing the response you want within that range, the issue is probably elsewhere in the protocol.

Down 60lbs! Can you see it?

The face is usually the last place people register their own change - mirror habituation means you're updating your mental image in real time while everyone else is comparing you to a snapshot from months ago. The jump from 260 to 201 is visible in photos even when you can't see it yourself yet.

GLP-1 Meds & New Obesity Treatments: Thoughts?

The shift toward GLP-1s as first-line treatment is running ahead of the insurance coverage infrastructure - the compounding and direct-pay options filling the gap are doing the real access work right now while formulary decisions catch up with the clinical evidence.

    Name brand blues?!

The insurance math on brand-name tirzepatide has shifted enough that the compounded vs Zepbound calculation is worth running every open enrollment. The gap that made compounded the obvious choice two years ago is narrower now, and supply reliability on brand-name is real if you have had...

GLOW90 trial run, wish me luck!

Barely changed my training. Dropped 20% body weight in a year and maintaining now. Run 4x, lift 3x. Had some dizziness early on but I'm running pain-free for the first time in years. Anti-inflammatory benefit alone was huge.

    Pants Size Victory!

Microdosing monthly at the lowest dose for upkeep. Started at 230, down to 125. Went from size 16 down to size 2 in pants.

    Ozempic face transformation!

I saw a post on Reddit where someone couldn't inject in their stomach anymore because of the loose skin. They had to switch to injecting in their leg, which they said was more painful. Just a heads up!

    GLP-1s and...digestive aids?

glad to hear tirz and cag stack well. got cag coming for future. 11 months in at 12.5 split 6.25 every 3-4 days, tirz still crushing it for suppression and noise. sw 310 april 2025, cw 213. keeping it until it stops working then add cag.

Reta - When does the magic happen?

all the comments sound brutal honestly. dose increases seem too high for a lot of people. i stretched my 2.5 for 13 days and just injected 1.25. fatigue and anhedonia hit hard—been in bed ten days. the side effects are crazy. go slow.

    Pen tricks: worth it?

Down 33 lbs, 31 inches total, and bloodwork is solid now. Started at 275, got to 235 on willpower alone, then plateaued for months. This medication is incredible - I'm on a low dose with no side effects. Hope it becomes cheaper and easier to get; could save millions of lives.

    Sema's seriously changed my life!

always had body issues because of stuff from childhood. friends called me fat and ugly even as a kid. never blamed anyone for taking ozempic but people made it feel sinful. worked out always but cravings killed me and self-control was zero. found a doc but it's not actual ozempic.

    Mounjaro: Two years in!

Also German here. I tried China BAC water twice with tirz and got wrecked both times—heart racing, felt sick. Now ordered saline instead. Why didn't you use that? Is NaCL or Ampuwa better for tirz recon?

Just got my Sema! Any tips?

fda approved new higher-dose wegovy yesterday. didn't shock me but curious how it affects the patent situation—probably resets it. makes you wonder if tirz is similarly underutilized at current max doses. haven't seen solid data on that yet though.
