    GLP-1s & Gas? 💨

Gas on Mounjaro peaks in the first month as gut motility adjusts - small meals and avoiding trigger foods helps most.

    My health turnaround

The first few weeks being the hardest is the consistent pattern - the metabolic gains come through after.

Is this weight loss too fast?

7 lbs in 2 weeks on Wegovy is in the normal early-phase range - water and inflammation shifts account for a significant portion of that. 206 is not a high starting weight, so the pace here doesn't indicate overcorrection. The rate concern at this weight and pace is not the current risk pattern.

    Still hungry on week 2?

Hey all, just a reminder to keep things within the rules! No talk about sourcing things that aren't FDA approved, okay? And definitely no buying/selling. Stay safe!

    Weird Places You're Getting Thin?

Been on Wegovy for about 10 months now, and every so often I notice I'm losing fat in some place I didn't even realize I *had* fat. Like, the web of skin between my pointer finger and thumb? It's...smaller? Anyone else experiencing this, like, thin spots in oddball places?

I'm starting to have that problem. My clothes are getting big on me. It's a good problem to have, though!

    Seeing Progress in the Mirror!

Some backstory: I was pretty stable at ~185 from my late teens until mid-30s. A bit heavy, but all good. Then, around 2021 during the COVID thing, some chronic stuff popped up, and the weight piled on FAST. Went from super active to basically stuck in a chair. Only in the last year or so have I...

    Seeing Progress in the Mirror!

Here's me in the navy tee in the first pic. That was Xmas '23, and I kicked off my T2D med journey around late March '24. Started around 241. Now hovering around 185. Aiming for 130-ish.

Grey market GLP-1s vs Brand Name?

Totally! Just be careful not to buy too many groceries, or they'll go bad before you eat them!

Grey market GLP-1s vs Brand Name?

I started on Wegovy and then switched to a grey market source. No difference in how well it worked.

Grey market GLP-1s vs Brand Name?

The big difference is the price. As for the actual dose, who knows? Am I injecting 1.1mg or 0.9mg? I have no clue, and frankly, I don't really stress over it. The important thing is that it's doing what it's supposed to do.

    BAC Water Armageddon?

I saw someone asking about how much BAC to use with a vial. I've been using this calculator, helps with the math: http://peptidecalculator.com/calculator.php

    BAC Water Armageddon?

I probably need to check out some other vendors, but I like the ones I use. They don't carry BAC and it would be easier to buy a whole case of it. I'm still seeing it for $20. My original BAC source was $13 and now it's $18.

    BAC Water Armageddon?

I think it depends on the telehealth service. You often pay a monthly fee plus the appointment fee. Most are in the $120-$170/month range plus a $60-$80 doctor fee per visit, along with the cost of the prescription. So there probably isn't much savings. This is an interesting discussion...

    BAC Water Armageddon?

So, with the possibility of Hospira BAC requiring a script soon thanks to sneaky big pharma, I've got a few questions for the peptide experts: 1) Besides Hospira, any other reliable BAC water brands out there? 2) What's the oldest BAC vial you've used that was still good? I suspect it lasts...

Switching meds - Reta + Tirz?

I can laugh about it now. It was not fun at the time. I had been constipated so i turned around to face the toilet. If I could go back in time I would use a trashcan. Luckily I dont have carpet. To answer Hal, it wasn’t that that propelled me, it was something else.
