CGMs and GLP-1s: Who's Using 'Em?

Dexcom G7 and Libre 3 are the two most used here for CGM on GLP-1.

Same Vial Size - Different Dose?

Mixing to 60mg for two people sharing a vial is standard - each draws the individual dose from the reconstituted concentrate, consistency stays the same.

    MT2 & PT-141 anyone?

MT-2 is typically injected subcutaneously - nasal spray formulations exist but absorption is inconsistent and the dose calibration is harder. The tanning effect at low doses builds over a few weeks and accumulates with UV exposure. PT-141 is similarly sub-q for predictable onset.

This med makes me pee all the time!

That's good to know, Dakota1976! I hadn't heard that. I was concerned about potential GI issues since I have a sensitive stomach.

This med makes me pee all the time!

The frequent urination might be just at the start, Pulse_Loss. When your blood sugar is regulated, it should settle down.

    Food Aversions on MJ?

I'm now 6 months in. The food noise really does quiet down, but I noticed it creeping back up as I approach my next injection. It's like my brain is whispering, "Hey, remember how good that pizza used to taste?"

    Weed, cravings, and GLP-1s

I can relate to what ThinQuest928 is saying. I also had increased cravings after starting. Hang in there! It takes a few weeks for things to even out. I found that once my blood sugar started to stabilize, the sugar cravings got even stronger. It's all part of the process with these meds.

    Food Aversions on MJ?

I miss enjoying food. I don't miss the food itself, but I miss the feeling it gave me. My all-time favorite meal was fish fingers and fries with lots of bread for sandwiches. Now, I try an alternative with fresh cod and a small amount of sweet potato fries, and while it's nice, it doesn't give...

    Food Aversions on MJ?

Nothing at all! I absolutely love my new life. Instead of food, I now find joy in activities and hobbies. I'm finally doing all the amazing things I couldn't do before because I was overweight. I never want to go back.

    Weed, cravings, and GLP-1s

I use THC every day. The munchies are definitely less intense now that I'm on a higher dose of sema. And for some reason, gummies don't affect me at all anymore, same with small doses of psilocybin.

1 Week Down on the Injections!

I have a friend who's been on one of these meds for a year and lost over 100 lbs! She started at 242 and now she's 139. It's incredible what's possible. She was so happy to get her T2D under control.

1 Week Down on the Injections!

I know exactly what you mean. I'd make dinner, sit down to eat, and then not even want it. Such a good feeling! [👍]

    Almost a year on sema!

That's a great question. I'm also thinking about that. I'm planning on continuing with a healthy lifestyle and working closely with my doctor to adjust my medication if needed. I'm also thinking of switching to a lower maintenance dose rather than stopping completely.

    Almost a year on sema!

I did increase my dose over time, as instructed by my doctor. I'm currently at the maximum dose and it's working well for me.

    Almost a year on sema!

It's almost been a year since I started this crazy ride, and wow, what a difference! I went from a BMI that was considered morbidly obese (around 295 lbs) to just plain overweight (about 195 lbs). My confidence is back, I feel way more energetic, I'm generally happier, and I've actually managed...
