    GLP-1s crossing into the brain?

Oral sema's first-pass effect does reduce bioavailability significantly - roughly 70-80% is metabolized before reaching systemic circulation, which likely dampens both the GI side effect profile and CNS penetration. The anhedonia question specifically is whether the BBB crossing that produces...

    Don't be mean, please!

220 to 163 is visible and real regardless of what the mirror shows right now. The connective tissue angle in the Netherlands context is interesting - EDS and hypermobility presentations are genuinely overrepresented there, and some peptide data on collagen synthesis suggests a potential link...

    Year one down, feeling great!

HbA1c below 5, cholesterol, triglycerides, and uric acid all moving is the full metabolic panel responding - those are the outcomes the long-term trials are measuring now. The research interest tracks because this combination of improvements in year one is more consistent across patients than...

    GLP-1s: Gut issues & autoimmunity?

I had IBS-D after a bad eating disorder and a case of food poisoning. For 5 years, it was awful: rushing to the bathroom and avoiding anything that might trigger it. I tried the low-FODMAP diet. Now, within the first week of taking the lowest dose (0.25mg) of Ozempic, my IBS is almost gone.

    GLP-1s: Gut issues & autoimmunity?

I had IBS-D my whole life--over 50 years. Ozempic resolved it in 3 months.

Is obesity a societal problem, or what?

Your view seems too fixed and doesn't account for the ability to choose that everyone has. I know eating healthy can be more costly than eating high-fat foods, but it's still your decision what to eat. You say having these foods around makes it easier to choose them, but people are free to make...

    Slow Start on GLP-1s?

Stalls are common. Before making changes to your dose, try focusing on increasing your protein intake and step count. Small adjustments can sometimes make a big difference.

    Ozempic's losing its...oomph?

It might be true for Ozempic but I believe Wegovy goes up higher. Something to explore.

    Slow Start on GLP-1s?

The important thing is consistency, not how fast you lose weight. I've had patients who were slow at first but then had consistent loss later on.

Is obesity a societal problem, or what?

Actually, it shows the opposite! Obesity is often because of your genes in an environment where food isn't rare (which is a positive thing). Other people, with different genes, don't get overweight, even though they deal with the same stuff in their surroundings.

    Ozempic's losing its...oomph?

It took about a year before I plateaued and the food cravings started coming back. I was still at 0.5 at that point, so I went up to 0.75. That broke the plateau, but after a couple of months, I felt the side effects were too much, so I'm experimenting with 0.65 to see if it works. Of course, I...

    Hunger & Cravings Coming Back?!

Maybe we're all craving sugar because our blood sugar is dropping too low? I've heard that can happen. Anyone check their glucose levels?

    Ozempic's losing its...oomph?

I started back on it around the middle of January. I've gone from 0.25mg to 1.0mg. I really don't feel any side effects and barely even notice it. It's very different from when I was on it for 3 months last summer, where the side effects were intense.

    Hunger & Cravings Coming Back?!

That's a bit discouraging! I was hoping it wouldn't last this long. Have you made any adjustments to your eating habits to compensate?

    Hunger & Cravings Coming Back?!

I'm in week five now (0.25mg three times, 0.5mg twice), and some of my old issues are creeping back. For the first three weeks, I felt full after meals and had a reduced appetite. But for the last week or so, I'm feeling hungrier again (which isn't all bad, I guess), and my cravings for sugary...

    GLP-1s popping up on Amazon?

I will say, the peptide scene is pretty gray. You have zero guarantee what you're injecting, unless you're getting it from a compounding pharmacy with a prescription. I'd be wary of anything too cheap. It's probably not what they say. I'd be really cautious about grabbing GLP-1s from random sites.

Anyone heard of this supplier before?

They're not even on the usual vendor lists. How did you discover them?
