GLP-1s: Long-term worry?

Started on Oz in 2018, GLP-1s since 2005. Still working as designed and approved. Was on .5 for 6 years fine, switched to 1mg 15 months back since supply stabilized. Zero side hits, appetite unchanged, energy same. Changes: a1c 9.8 down 5.5, 87% insulin cut, body fat 40% down 25% (hit 22% but unsustainable).

I hate edibles. They hit me awful and last way too long. Stopping was the right call. Give yourself time to be sober, meditate, hike, be outside. Let yourself heal. You've got a good head on your shoulders.

TRT at 52 is life-changing. 6 months in, you'll regret not starting sooner. second only to quitting smoking early 20s and ditching booze 6 yrs ago. find a doc who does bloodwork and chases symptom relief, not just a number.

Stopping for two months, gaining 15 lbs with cravings back strong, and then needing to restart at a higher effective dose to recapture the response is the direct answer to the OP's long-term worry question. The concern about what happens if you stop is well-founded - the data consistently shows this. The medication correcting something the body isn't doing on its own is worth knowing before treating it as optional.
