I used to assume a spray was just a gentler version of a pin. Then I actually looked at what has to happen for a peptide to cross nasal mucosa and I stopped assuming.
Peptides are large, water soluble molecules and they cross membranes poorly on their own. Formulations that genuinely work by this route lean on permeation enhancers, or on the compound being small enough for the surface area to matter. The fraction that actually reaches circulation is a number vendors never put on the page.
Meanwhile the spray format sells beautifully, because removing the needle removes the friction that would otherwise make people ask harder questions. You end up with a product whose main selling point is the delivery method, documented with a purity certificate that says nothing whatsoever about absorption.
If the certificate proves what is in the bottle and nobody can tell you how much of it gets across the mucosa, what exactly has been verified.
