Ozempic's losing its...oomph?

Hong Kong Yanpep International
the variability in ozempic response between people is real and it goes in both directions. some people hit a ceiling at 1mg and some are just starting to respond at that level. if 30 lbs happened before the plateau hit, the dose question is worth having with your doctor before assuming the medication just stopped working.

Zero effect at 1mg for 3 months with consistent gym and diet in place is a non-responder pattern on semaglutide. Stopping makes sense rather than pushing higher when the baseline response is not there. The OP plateau at 1mg is a different situation - 30 lbs means the medication was working, the question is whether the dose needs to move or the approach does.

6 months on Ozempic with minimal weight loss going to highest dose and then trying Mounjaro is exactly the right call when lipedema is part of the picture. The GLP-1 mechanism does not work the same on lipedema fat tissue and tirz at least adds the GIP angle. Hope the Mounjaro delivers something the Ozempic did not.

On 1mg ozempic myself, helped me gradually shed 35 pounds, but I've been parked at the exact same weight for the last 6 months with nothing budging. Worth just trying 1.7 and 2.4 wegovy first, same active ingredient as ozempic, less costly than mounjaro, plus you already know your body responds to it.

On 1mg here too and it's just not doing anything for me anymore. Sadly that's the highest dose available where I live. Never really got nauseous or lost my appetite much on Ozempic in the first place, but now it's completely stalled out. Lost 20kg so far, still need another 15 to hit my ideal weight. So frustrated right now.

Might be worth trying something like Monjaro instead. For plenty of people, Ozempic just doesn't deliver. Right now you're basically burning time and money without progress.

Barely lost anything myself on Ozempic.

Made the switch not long ago. No real side effects aside from occasional mild nausea. One thing I did notice is the shot itself stings, which Ozempic never did. Curious if it's holding up as well as Ozempic did for you? Just moved up to .5mg after being on .25. Loss has slowed the last couple weeks for me - actually gained one week, then only an ounce down this week.

stayed on the starting dose for the first few months since it worked so well controlling appetite. stopped binging entirely and ate way less, but the scale just wasn't moving. bumped up a level and the weight started dropping fast. but a while into that dose, effectiveness seemed to fade. portions are still way smaller than before starting this, but progress has stalled and there's still a good chunk left i want gone. got my doctor to approve moving up again recently, though a couple doses at the current level still need using up first. even if tolerance keeps building, so long as food noise stays out of the driver's seat, that's honestly enough for me
